I think these would be good changes.
Duelspec at 40
Make ashenvale scroll boonable.
Increase pally buff duration.
Yea I would like a buff duration increase for blessings, mark of the wild, priest buffs, arcane intellect, and demon armor.
I think there are good reasons not to increase the rest. But these are just expected to always be up, keeping them up is needlessly annoying.
I hate duelspec tho. Keep that crap in WOTLK.
no dual spec ![]()
pallies can keep buffing every 5 minutes like God intended
don’t care about the ashenvale buff boon
I like all of these!
Would it kill anybody if Pally buffs lasted 10 minutes?
come on…come oooon.
it wouldnt, but it is kinda a slap in the face to shamans AND the original intent of paladin blessings was for them to be a very powerful, short duration, low mana cost buff that can be reapplied while in combat depending on the situation. To make them longer might mean you would have to increase their mana cost then
Dual spec would be amazing, I’ve yet to see a good argument against it.
Sorry but having 2 builds to switch between does not ruin ths game, especially when people could easily need 5 or more talent builds depending on game modes, builds and fights…
if dual spec does nothing to dillute your decisions within the game does that hold true for tri spec? quad spec? DECA SPEC?
this is the primary argument against dual spec. dilluted meaning in choices
Dual spec does reduce the impact of the decisions, which is a good thing because 1 build is too rough.
The counter-argument of tri spec+ is dumb af, nobody is asking for that because it completely removes any impact for your decisions.
People want weight to their decisions and that can come from areas other than just wanting the option to tank or dps without investing excessive amounts of gold.
im going to the extremes with tri spec and more only as a way to point out what maybe some cannot see the collateral damage of dual spec because it seems like a small change at that level when it is in fact very damaging to character identity
Its not a good example because its unrealistic. It wont happen and nobody wants it.
Bro I swear we are the only ones saying this. But everybody subconsciously wants their character build to be unique and a reflection on their personality.
Other MMO’s basically have tri-specing.
What choices tho. The only thing dual spec promotes is running to capital cities after every raid.
well let me give you a totally different reason dual spec is damaging then. We all want to play a certain way as our primary choice, whether that be DPS, Tank, Heals, Melee, Ranged etc…
With dual spec you might want to play DPS but might have a tank spec as your 2nd spec just so you can get into groups faster, but you dont actually like to tank.
So now you’re in a group playing a role you dont actually enjoy and the group is maybe getting a lower quality tank and no one wins in this scenario.
The alternative is the same guy but with dps talents. your scenario is worse without dual spec.
People do this already
heres another reason. in 2004 people hated hunters because they could basically use every item in the game so rolled on tons of stuff that maybe was better for others. with dual spec you will have more people rolling on stuff for their 2nd spec than before due to how readily available it is.
People are doing this now. Which is why I run master loot. Had a healer need tank gear in my BFD run. No thanks.
Again people already do this
