Hello,
I used my lvl 50 boost on a new toon and server, to play the game from the start on very easy so I can focus more on quest lore than battle.
But unfortunately, after creating my boosted night elf, it seems that Darnassus is gone/destroyed? So I’m not able to do even the original starting zone for night elves.
Is there a way to still go back to ‘old’ Darnassus and do the original quests with my lvl 50 toon?
A little bit south of Lor’Danal there’s an NPC that will let you phase back to the old timeline. They’ll be marked by a speach bubble on the map. (It’s possible that if you are part way through the intro for the level 50 version of Darkshore that you won’t have that option. If that’s the case, finish up the level 50 Darkshore unlock and you should get the option.)

Just to add on to Udiza, there are several zones in-game that have two versions that can be alternated by speaking to said NPC. Tirisfal Glades, Arathi Highlands, Blasted Lands, and Silithus are such zones (off the top of my head).

Thanks for the replies! I’m glad I’ll still be able to play the old contents.
Unfortunately there is no quest that I can start in Darkshore, when I click ‘show trivial quests’ on the minimap, there’s one quest appearing called ‘Last wave of Survivors’ but the quest giver is not there. Maybe it’s phased out.
I can talk to Zidormi who offers me to tell about what happened to Darnassus/World Tree, but that is just a cinematic, there’s no option yet to travel back in time. And no option to start the Darkshore quests.
The phasing may be “stuck” until you complete the level 50 darkshore intro. Head to Boralus and see if you can pick up “On Whispered Winds” from the owl on the boat with the command table.
Thanks everyone for the replies! It worked
I’m pretty overwhelmed by all of the changes in WoW, but that happens when not playing for so long.
I hope that playing from all lvl 1 zones up to Shadowlands will bring me up to date about the changes. I never knew the vanilla content changed so much. It’s a pity that a new toon is overpowered pretty fast when doing all content, but it gives me more time to explore and focus on story instead of battle, which is nice too
