Q: How is flying going to work in Shadowlands?

Do one meta achievement or shell out hundreds of thousands of gold on each character for flying? I’ll take the meta achievement that doesn’t cost me anything since I have to do the rep anyway for recipes.

I value my time and the wow scenery alot more when I am flying. The world mobs do not provide any gameplay value over that of being a small nuisance. Doing 1000s of world quests for a year long to please my Blizzard overlords to get flying is not fun. No thanks. Ill consider buying in 2021.

What I do not get is that people do not recommend adding gold. They actually recommend allowing pf pt 1 give 100% flying speed or flying in some way.

This needs to be addressed for reals. I get keeping stupid PF.

But it needs a complete rework going forward. And without grinds. Something actually creative this time.

LOL hundreds of thousands of gold. Area flight licenses were always a fraction of the cost of the actual flight skill itself.

Sorry talked out of my butt for a second, its actually 10k per character as is to get master and all ranks leading to master. So add another 4k per expac that has pathfinder, 12k, and add however many alts you have.

Freaking seriously! I hate Pathfinder but just saying that alone and I’d be like, cool, I’ll go right ahead and shell out my money to pre-order my Shadowlands Epic version then. That’s literally all it would take, Blizzard.

I would even be okay with PF pt 1 gives flying at 150% riding speed. PF pt 2 gives 300% speed and all zones flying.

Some people love flying, some hate it and feel it kills immersion.
There’s no way to perfectly please both parties.
Pathfinder isn’t perfect but it’s the best compromise we have for both parties.

I think right now Pathfinder is inevitable, it’s not going away.

But what we can do is push for it to be modified so that flying can be unlocked straight away, at least for zones available at expansion launch, with additional pathfinder stages unlocking flying for new zones.
