you don’t need special gear for Agatha as fury warrior. there is no hard dps check in that fight. it’s literally just kill every add that spawns and dodge boulders. if you can do both of those things you’ll win.
you can also spec impending victory and never be in danger of dying unless you face tank boulders.
Yeah I’m special man I try to kill the adds and then dps boss, but it takes awhile to kill the adds and they then heal the boss. Then the adds get a tad crazy so I try to dps them down and die to her aoe thing, or dots. So yeah I just suck I guess, and at 500 dps it’s pretty rough.
Idk about all of the encounters, but the Ret one changed my opinion on how much of a “skill” check at least this fight is. I went in just with my PvP gear at first thinking what matters most is mechanics and playing properly, but came nowhere near to ever defeating the encounter. I could repeatedly live until they soft enrage so I had the mechanics down and I was maximizing my damage by cleaving/bursting at the correct times but just did not have enough damage to kill them.
Then I switched out as much of my PvP gear as possible for haste gear, got my old artifact/legendaries out, bought the unbridled fury potions, and got out good PvE trinkets from my bank and voila downed the boss.
Instead of nerfing these encounters they should be 100% templated so you can actually test your “skill” and not your ability to scrounge up the most optimal gear and consumables. Just imo.

are you saving reck+bladestorm for the umbral imps that give the boss immunity?
maybe spend about 20 minutes on a training dummy getting comfortable with fury rotation since you said you haven’t played warrior much. a big part is keeping whirlwind buff up while cleaving
500 dps is really low. What gear are you using for this encounter? From personal experience, you want to be doing between 800-1000k dps or else the fight lasts way too long and you’ll probably start losing focus.
Forumdwellers are insane. The people going “OP IMPOSSBLE I PLAY PERFECTLY AND I LOSE” are the same people who pop every cd in the opener of an arena and trinket air and then die to rogue mage and go “OP PLZ NERF”.
I literally did every single challenge and at least one per class in just pvp gear on all 12 classes

I think I’m in 186 ilevel atm hadn’t touched the guy in a minute and thought all stats normalized anyway.
Well I had no idea whirlwind gives a buff honestly. Are the big imps the ones that heal the boss also making it immune I didn’t notice it just seemed like they healed it. But thanks for the tips!

the two big imps slowly heal the boss with a channeled cast. then there’s a big wave of adds that spawn umbral imps that give the boss an immunity shield. that big wave is the one you should be reck+bladestorming. the cd lines up exactly with the spawn timer so you’ll have it every time
idk I rarely play this game and I was able to do it on this dh wearing the mog right now actually, I agree tho that xylem is overtuned I hate “skill” challenges that require dumb pve enchants and gems and haste drums to even have a chance at being completed.

I went into Xylem on an arms warrior to test out some legion trinkets and ended up killing it, doesn’t feel that hard to me.
Yep im not sure what ur wearing but drums for last phase is needed and siphon weapon on an off hand aswell as leech cape is amazing for self healing also make sure to swap out stun talent for throw glaive slow last phase aswell and make sure to track add spawns with dbm too and have an immolation aura plus fel rush ready for them, I only just boosted this dh for the gimmick one shots in pvp and am playing him casually but decided to get on and try for the mog too, took about 12 attempts but is doable I would personally nerf the last phase as the hp on him without using cyclonic trinket is a bit much granted I only used agility flask and drums for haste no on use consumable.
Don’t worry though I agree with you it def needs some nerfs I got pretty lucky with my kill at the end of the day but if ur having trouble getting to last phase it’s a mechanics issue, the only part I would change is the boss not moving when u kick him on arcane so you can’t drag him to mid, that can cause an auto wipe if he is to far away when he teleports.
Siphon enchant and the leech cape enchant are needed on DH though before that I wiped 6 times on 1st phase after enchanting I didn’t die a single time 1st phase.

Grats Nas, that’s honestly pretty insane. Even more impressive in full PvP gear. I know on the Ret one I was nowhere near getting it with full versa/master gear because the bosses soft enrage at like 6 minutes in and you will just die. My dps jumped by like 200 switching to as much haste as possible. If you wouldn’t mind I’d love to see you list what specs you did the challenges on and rank them from hardest to easiest+any comments/thoughts you had on each one.
ya the biggest thing is being FAST on your rep to stop her cast BEFORE she finishes (she wont recast) and then break it iMMEDIATELY so you can keep cleaving. Same thing with the jarl on his enrage and bladestorm (save hoj for them, he does one or the other every minute; save shield for the end of the hoj) Thats the only way to maximize your uptime there tbh… and hope you get empyrian might and divine purpose procs XD
They will learn faster than you but the mechanical expertise on these types of things is definitely not impossible to reach you just need to put in more attempts rly
