What’s so bad about optimizing your gear and rotation to completely wreck things? Isn’t that the true testament of the skill for PVP is knowing how to correctly gear for it?

Optimizing gear for end game PvP =/= Twinking.
The obvious difference is the only negative impact on others in your pve examples are the meter watchers.
In PvP, it’s a lot more disruptive of others. Directly so.

NOt that I hate them, it’s just funny how PVPers complain about ‘twinks’ who are optimizing their gear and doing their best to prepare for it are considered a ‘bad’ thing as if the only way to PVP is to have crappy gear.
Consider when someone optimizes for raiding, it benefits the entire group. In PvP, if the enemy is optimized, that’s bad for you.
Not to mention, PvP is a whole other ball field… toxicity and competition can get pretty rough.
Are they complaining that their teammates are optimized? If so, then yeah… that IS weird.
Because I’d be like “carry me” and not think twice.
But isn’t the point of gearing for PVP is to get a leg up on the competition?
