So is blizzard gunna ban the guys account sharing?
or you gunna let them do w/e they want.
Im certain if they can prove that someone broke the ToS, actions will be taken. It is very hard to prove though, we dont all stream on camera, so there is no real way to verify.
They probably care just a tiny bit more than I do
Mass report them to knock them offline. If Blizzard won’t do anything, we the players still can.
You don’t have to get them banned, you just have to knock them down for a day or two so they can’t rank up.
There is no rule to whom in your house can play your character!
Truth spoke
Yes there is that’s called account sharing, and if you get caught you will be actioned.
Anyway to the OP, they catch account sharing pretty quickly! They’ll see “Ughash logged in at Alabama 10 mins ago and now he’s in Vegas!”
Accounts usually lock down Incase of a compromise.
If you ever see anyone in chat confirming they’re account sharing, you can always take a screen shot and mail it to blizzard.
You are speculating, just because OP says so doesn’t make it factual. Accounts Sharing is based on IP, when you log in from New York, then Log in from California, then Log in from Virginia Blizzard can and usually does ask for security related information and can ban the account.
Having my son play my character while im at work is not against the TOS!
Allowing a child to play on your account is different. But once he turns 18 he’ll need his own account.
You should tread lightly if you’re allowing anyone else.
My son is 29 and my comment was an Example: You tread lightly on your presumptuous contempt.
Then you can be actioned it does count as account sharing. Feel free to ask the CS forums for more info they’ll gladly confirm.
stop trying to police everyone.
There was no action to be actionable… Bro get grip
That still isn’t enough information to enforce action on someone.
Yeah it isn’t bound to family members if I remember correctly. However people hard grinding for something that isn’t possible without account sharing seems intended by blizzard. The amount of effort a single person would have to put forward would be absurd.
It’s a percentile so it would actually be easier for everyone if nobody did this. One person doing it ruins it for everyone though.
Unfortunately it is inevitable and there will be no way to prove it. They won’t ever take action on this so I recommend figuring out how to deal with it now.
you realize the pvp grind isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be, the players who are pvping are setting the amount of honor required to hit rank 14
My family members play their own toons, were not scammers.
I let my kids play on my account for years, but they were not allowed to play my toons. That would give me an unjust advantage over everyone else, its common sense.
I really hope this thread continues, the knee-jerking and assumptions are really delightful with my morning coffee.
So seeing a guy who’s been on for more than 90 hours isn’t account sharing :D???
