Ok disclaimer, this is my first season playing WW, currently im 2.1k~ ish cr 2s and 3s.
My question is, why are we so counter-able?
I’m talking about touch of death and touch of karma mainly. Paladins of any spec seem to counter WW so hard, with two ways to remove our touches (bop and bubble). Mage can block both. Rogue can vanish touch of death. Night elves can shadowmeld touch of death.
And thats what I know about so far (please help me add to this list so i can learn :D)
I understand that their is some skill level to countering our biggest damage spell, and our primary defensive ability (which doesnt absorb enough btw with the amount of damage out there, even if it isnt removed with the above methods) - but i mean really?
You’re about 7~ years late complaining about ToK/ToD being countered by rets/mages. It’s just how it goes. ToD being Vanishable is extremely stupid i agree though. Our main defensive is just the ability to run and kite.

My advice is to try and force immunities early so they don’t eat ToD. Not that it’s not already laughably easy to counter ToD w/o it, but if an immunity gets burned on just one charge of SEF, you’re ahead.
As for ToK, expect it to never work against any team with a pally, never pop it on a mage, and expect to be kited, ccd, or instantly killed the moment you pop it because despite being touted as an amazing defensive, it has far too many counterplay options.
The common thread in both those tips are hope you’re up against morons because we are very counterable, even more so now with the loss of FoF stun.
As for a specific reason why we’re so counterable, I’d say it’s because we’re incredibly CD reliant. Our CD reliance was further exacerbated by the loss of non high CD things like FoF stun, Para’s short CD, BoK getting slapped with a 27% damage nerf, etc.
Characters of high moral standing need to be able to stop a bad touch.

It sucks to have Karma blocked off or vanished, but I mean you are also getting some pretty major CDs from them as well
