Went to the Obsidian Sanctum to pick up the weekly PvP quest only for the guy to be not there whatsoever. What happened?
AFAIK, you have to be level 70 to get the quests, and there’s 3 of them now. I logged in and picked up:
Proving in War, Proving Solo, and Sparks of Life: The Azure Span.
I am level 70, despite what this forum seems to think…
Actually, I just went to the PvP area to check for myself and the entire NPC appears to be missing. Not just for me, either; other people are saying the same thing. How strange!
Unintentional rewards maybe? I think 8 sparks = 8 pieces of 386 gear
The sparks of life quest is a different npc, and I was still able to pick up that quest.
It’s the weekly “go get x honor from random battlegrounds” quest-giver I’m not seeing.
Same I dont have any pvp quests I see except for the sparks of life one
Malicia the NPC is completely gone for all toons.
She gives out all weekly instanced PvP quests and is the vendor for higher level warmode gear.
I saw one for epic battlegrounds 1 for overwhelming odds and 1 for wm stuff
This is a bug yes? Or was that intentional?
Intentional but temporary. PvP tokens were dropping as BoE. The auction house was also closed to prevent their sale.
Same. That’s why I came here to find out what happened.
Ooh, it’s the end of the world! So what, though, seriously? If people really don’t want their gear tokens, then let someone else buy them.
Now they are probably going to remove PvP vendors, because no one can find PvP quest givers….
Looks like they disabled that quest giver/vendor – and the AH – because of some shenanagins.
I was able to pick up the quests on my main, but when I returned she was gone. So she was there for a while, but disabled?
The world pvp wm vendor is missing for the higher ilvl gear you used to exchange the lower ones for. I guess they didn’t want PvP players to get a chance at their ilvl 385 PvE gear this week and removed it for the raiders and mythic+ players.
The currency that allows you to upgrade warmode gear should not be BoE—so that needed to be fixed, especially since the gear has a high enough PvE iLvl to affect dungeons and raids.
But removing Malicia entirely means that no PvP players can pick up or turn in the weekly quests for instanced PvP.
