The changes with 10.0.7 have really turned PvP for the worst. A week ago things felt somewhat balanced with a few outliers on bottom and top. Now the outliers have changed and are way ahead in performance (Resto shaman, Arms Warrior, Ret Paladin) .
Ret especially, but I’ve been getting hit with some pretty hefty mortal strikes as well, both classes seem they are doing way more damage and are a lot harder to kill.
Arms actually got nerfed and mine is unplayable right now in shuffle. I die through every defensive I have, some being 3 min CDs, to ret’s 1 min CD. If I barely make it through the first avenging wrath, the second definitely kills me.
I totally agree. Although there definitely was outlier’s, at least you saw quite a representation of different builds and classes in each bracket. Even if only some of the classes were viable in very high rated pvp at least it wasn’t just ret/(insert class here). Blizzard went the wrong way and totally unbalanced the crap out of pvp.
Warriors seem to always sneak by. They’re a healthy balance of damage and counterplay.
Resto shamans seem so good but their games last for so long. Good ones can really nullify DPS it seems but their lack of CC Doesn’t contribute to any kills. The game just goes.
Its very fun for rets I’m sure. Problem is not for everyone else, pushing changes like this without testing them in arena or responding to PTR feedback on it causes people to quit the game.
Demon hunters were like 30% of the solo shuffle ladder for weeks. Fury was globaling people with 2 buttons a Swifty macro. Did you just not play earlier in the season or are you part of the selective amnesia epidemic?
Who said anything about prepatch. You can go watch old clips from earlier in s1. Fury and DH were doing the same meme damage as ret does now but with 200% more mobility and self sustain.
