wotf…
Hi I am heavily considering playing warlock, I love wpvp and dueling, but i am die hard alliance. I also only play human so i get the worst racials.
How bad is will of the forsaken really gonna be? I kinda wanna be an SL lock or a SM/ruin lock. will I be destroyed in wpvp by rogue stunlocks, warriors that i cant fear away? will howl of terror/death coil be enough to make my life bearable?
also i would probably lose if i fought another warlock that was also a forsaken, given everything else is equal?
it looks like undead will be the most popular horde race… should i just go mage instead again?

Just another hurdle to overcome. But yeah it was a pain.
If I remember correctly though, WotF made the player count as undead for a brief period, didn’t it? Which means while they just broke your fear they just made themselves vulnerable to the nearest priest or paladin.

Play what you want. Learn engineering.

I also plan on going Warlock PvP. I don’t worry about those kind of things because I generally just love the warlock class.
Also, I think it more comes down to who is more skilled, better prepared, and has backup.

Just think of it this way. If you end up beating another warlock that is undead, you can pat yourself on the back that you did it as a human.

The human trait perception gives you an edge on rogues if your smart
or even have a felhunter purge the fear if your fighting a lock.
The only time you really feel the true sadness is when an Undead Rogue ganks you.
In bgs being Ally is welcome because Shaman can’t dispel your magic and putting Tongues on them is a hard counter.

This. Making good use of engineering and other trinkets will put you above most of the WoW population. You’ll have the edge against most people you fight. You’ll run into some undead with engineering of their own but it’s not such a big deal that you’re guaranteed to lose against them just because of their racial.
Haha, that’s going waaay back. I’m pretty sure undead were just straight up considered undead all the time though, not just when they used WotF. Those were funny times.
Human lock that is doing just fine in PvP. Also just an entertaining video.

I’ll be playing a lock as well. Haven’t decided faction yet but if I play alliance, it will be human.
From a 1v1 perspective, a undead has the upper hand with wotf, sure. But that’s in a 1v1 scenario.
Play what you want though
