PvP vendors

Until they start loosing money. Then they will do what the customer asks. Apparently they have not lost enough money, Yet. Case in point we all complain but we all still pay to play. Same with Arenas. People complain but they still pay and play.

Eh I dunno man… I think the cash shop bridged the gap so they don’t realize that even though their profits didn’t drop a sub drop still hurts them.

Despite the disaster that was the prune and Pathfinder of WOD they just doubled down man.

Do we though? Like I said wod had 5X the participation. They don’t care man.

Every company cares when they loose money. Roughly 5 million people still play this game, do the math on that.

Lol as I said the cash shop has bridged any lapse they had from subs. If you check their last earnings call they are very careful to explain that they’re as profitable as ever without going anywhere near how the subs are at.

Money is money.

one piece of gear a week that I don’t need, thanks blizz

Blizzard is evil and they know how to make us addicted

taxes insurance cost of keeping this forum up… very little profit is left * wink*

no sense putting the pvp vendors back , we wouldn’t be able to find them anyways.

Grinding for random gear isn’t addicting though. It was fun when we could actually choose the gear we wanted with the currency we earned. The gearing process felt rewarding. This RNG nonsense is something the dev team is obsessed with for reasons unbeknownst to me.

Agreed 100% but we all know blizz won’t bring them back because they would rather have this RNG crapfest of a system to keep us logged in longer for "Time played " metrics

Take that word out of the equation and BOOM WE GOT OUR GAME BACK. … I wish ;[

Someone bumped a bunch of these PvP vendor threads this morning and it got my hopes up that something had happened on the PTR. It’s been a few hours and I’m still kind of bummed out.

I feel like Blizzard either misdiagnosed the problems they were encountering with WOD or perhaps they hired outside consultants promising Skinner boxes as a panacea for retention. Either way, I find it darkly hilarious that the best-performing system of WOD was unable to survive it.

I wonder how Blizzard looks back at the inconveniences of WOD’s conquest gearing these days, like the RBG allotment, or the 7,500 requirement for weapon purchases.

I’m not a fan of gear requirements in PvP… even after all these years I’d still much prefer to see normalized gear performance (ie, Legion but taken to the full extent of the system) and cosmetic rewards that we can grind for instead.

Still though, if I have to grind for gear, a PvP vendor would certainly be my preferred choice!

I only played for a month or so at the start of Legion, I got a bunch of pants every week so I quit. I don’t really remember much of how getting gear worked, was there a chest? Did they mail it to us? How did it stack up against PvE gear in World PvP?

You got a stat template in PvP that just set all your stats to some predefined base value, regardless of what you had on. Then, for every 5 item levels you had past some base level, you got 1% more stats. I think by the end of Legion, people had 20% to 25% extra stats on the template.

I really enjoyed it because PvP was less about the gear and more about the combat. Gear was still a factor, in that I noticed the difference between when I first hit 110 and when I had a bunch of gear.

I know some folks really like the gear grind and improving their power as they go, I just personally don’t. It’s never really felt right in the competitive spirit of player vs. player based combat.

I hate the gear grind too. If I had a magic wand I’d make gear come from vendors but be free, so that there’d be no opportunity cost for playing around with different stats and enchants and stuff.

PvP vendors should, in my opinion be a must have in this game the rng bs makes pvp not nearly as enjoyable as it used to be and it’s killed the pvp community as rbgs are pretty dead.

Dont you enjoy filling up a bar and then having to beg to the Balding King Ion that you get an item from the chest that you don’t already have? All i’m hearing is Entitlement /s

We have PVP vendors just not the ones you want.
I don’t want any noobs sitting in a BG collecting honor and do nothing for it. They can sit and collect their rank all they want but they should get nothing else for it.
I love watching people come in and sit somewhere or put their toon on auto pilot and do nothing. You want better gear…go do rated battle grounds or arenas they give the same high lvl gear at higher ranks. Don’t want to do that? don’t expect much.
