Its not a vers issue blizz, just watch pikas commentary of their final series vs C9. Its locks and mages that are the problem and why you have to dampen games. These classes are much too strong at the moment and need nerfs.

Queued some 2s at 2k MMR last night. Fought some haste stacking warlocks and it was probably the worst time I’ve ever had in arena. Queued some 3s after and almost every game had a destro.
I can’t believe they haven’t posted any changes to this class. It is actually impossible to enjoy arena in it’s current state because of all the destros and fire mages.

This absolutely is a problem with vers. Every game all three opponents vers stacked and ran conflict and strife major. This is the reason he can’t kill them although he doesn’t state it in this video. If he kidneys his kill target, they have 50% dmg reduction on the go. This is why he waits because there is no kill window in that much DR. You cant heal through eventually on the setups.
I know you love vers as a monk but it is a problem with conflict major for any setup team. This is why RMX isn’t being run as much. There nerf is justified as hell. If you haven’t noticed, pika and xaryu haven’t been queueing lately on ladder because its pointless. They state these problems in their vods but im too lazy to look it up.
That being said, nerf destro.
Would the same scenario play out vs. Moonkin and Ele stacking versa? Of course not lol. So blaming vers first and foremost is misguided. Sure it plays a part, but it’s not the most significant issue.

Uhh yes lol, legit we can’t kill anything as rogue/mage if their entire team vers + conflict stacks. Rogue was garbage since vers amp showed up on the vendor.
You are ignoring half the issue. It’s not just that they can’t die. It’s also they can erase you if you ever attempt to play the game for more than 20 seconds at a time.

I don’t disagree with that. Destro damage is crazy. Fires is pretty nuts too. However, now you can kill them as well. We saw warrior mage winning vs MLMonk in the tourny with good success (83% in the matchup). Why? Because you changed the rogue for a warrior. Stormbolt was bugged and didn’t cause x2 conflict.
Conflict and vers was busted, especially since it was only affecting some classes. Please don’t @ me with your strawmans. I dont disagree destro is busted. Vers and conflict were also a problem though.

Pikaboo was purposefully holding back on damage until the CnS defensive bonus fell off their kill target.
It seems odd to me that Blizzard made an Essence that punishes you for stunning your kill target.
I guess we should be grateful they didn’t also make an Essence that punishes you for interrupting or CCing the healer.

Tbh I think that vers is not the problem and that conflict was in regards to people being too tanky. Now that they appended the conflict change I think they should cancel the versatile nerf but they probably won’t.

While destro needs a nerf more, rogue mage also needs nerf after these vers changes, damage will be absolutely asinine for a set up comp. Changes are good but I’d rather if I didn’t see 2k any other xpac rogue mages get 2600 this season.
2300 on a Hunter is like 2700 on a Fire Mage atm. You’re literally playing a spec at least 2 if not 3 tiers higher than his and lower than he is somehow. You’re Human to boot which is another enormous advantage while hes blood elf which is like not having a racial. Hes almost certainly a better player.
