PvP Tuning Changes for June 9

When’s the Focused Chaos nerf?

Oh yeah, I 100% agree. I hate the “Next expansion will fix it” mentality Blizzard gets towards the end of the expansion. I personally think there should be balance changes every 3 months or so.

However, I understand the system is constantly changing, in the sense that more corruption resist leads to more strategies, which leads to more balancing.

In 6-7 weeks, players will be able to double stack Rank3 Twilight Dev and Infinite Stars. This could lead to a completely different meta. Maybe a tank meta, maybe a cheese double rogue meta.

Without an updated PTR, we can’t test, and I sure as hell bet Blizzard doesn’t have the man power to test either.

These BFA systems aren’t fully tested before they leave the PTR, which is a joke to the community (and has lead us to these nerfs.)

I’m just saying I get “we don’t have the man power to constantly address PvP issues” but as a gaming company, they sure as hell don’t consider the communities enjoyment and current experience nearly enough.

Like to add on to this, if they want to treat gameplay like TR, just allow us to farm out like fiends for cores up to the 125 cap. Like 9 cores a week would be easily enough for almost everyone.

9 cores because of the 6 mask levels (0,1,2,3,4,5) and the 3 versions of N’Zoth (normal, heroic, mythic). 9x3 thats 27 (2 more than the number of post 15 upgrades). Just 3 weeks worth of effort to bring everyone up to the datamined limit well before the dripfed final upgrade on September 8.

Still nothing for destro and mage.

Good times.

Still missing:

  • Masterful (Corruption Effect) reduced by 33% in PvP combat.
  • Severe (Corruption Effect) reduced by 33% in PvP combat.
  • Expedient (Corruption Effect) reduced by 33% in PvP combat.
  • Focused Chaos (PvP Talent) reduced to 25% more damage, down from 65%.

…and some other, smaller class adjustments. It is confusing to have one amp act in a completely different way to others in PvP and it isn’t fun to pick one that gives you less in your desired activity.

i’m not saying i disagree with it, i’m not saying i want anything to be so dominant

but all i’m going to say is that when enhance took games into deep damp
and also did very over tuned damage
their heals and mana were immediately nerfed beyond recognition
and multiple damage additive honor talents were removed MID season
( which i believe is the only instance of that ever happening )
this happened within 12 LONG weeks

destro has been even more dominant than dread enhance for over 79 weeks now

No, don’t do that, please. lol

It’s frustrating to fight a rogue.

It’s unfun to fight a warlock/mage.

Please make a few more pvp changes so we can enjoy PvP again.

Can we get a video explaining y’alls overall balance intentions for this season? Rather rough coming into this activity for the first time and getting mowed down. All while everyone stating that this season has been the most broken in the longest time, with long-running unchecked specs.

If you’re going to do this then you don’t have to nerf the Versatile corruption.

ALSO:

We have found that it was too difficult for C9 to secure their third consecutive first place finish and the indignity of being in the lower bracket for one series was too much. Therefore, we are unnerfing demon armor, buffing soul leech, and buffing focused chaos by 50%

It’s not too late to append some fantastic changes that would make the community happy. There’s still time before the reset to make playing arena much more enjoyable.

  • Soul leech effectiveness in PvP reduced by 50%
  • Focused chaos now increases the damage of your chaos bolt by 45% (was 65%)
  • Damage while combustion is active has been reduced by 10%

Buffing Rogue+Mage and Destro lock even more with this recent additional hotfix on Confilic and Strife. What the hell are you guys thinking?

You still didn’t nerf destro or fire? What is wrong with you people seriously lol

Remember how Hunter, spriest, boomy, enh, ret were all T1 classes S1, and some nerfs went out and no one really sees those classes represented above 2.4? Can we do that with warlock please?

With the changes to Ver stacking I think it would be fair to remove the increased damage bonus to Flag Carriers in BGs/RBGs. The strong get stronger and the vulnerable now get even weaker. How is that fair to the playerbase mid-season without any warning? A week’s “head’s up” is not a warning.

How many weeks “heads up” would you like before Blizzard rolls out hotfixes for PvP?

Pretty clear they don’t play their own game.

They did roll out documented changes prior to 8.3 and set people on a path for gearing. Six months into the patch and to call an audible on people’s gearing strat is not looking good to the rated ladder or even the random bg players. Hotfixes are to correct an immediate issue that was unintended. Now by their actions they are saying 8.3 (PvP) was unintended. Most would agree with the later statement.

It is overkill and lack of foresight to their own design in regards to PvP. Most long time players are not shocked by this but that doesn’t mean that we like it.
