I believe the entire community could benefit from a PVP training mode, similar to Comp Stomp. Hear me out. It’s a separate mode you can queue into with up two friends, and you can customize the options to fight AI in either 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 in current arena maps. Customize the skill level, tweak how aggressive and coordinated you want them to be (a slider between low rated solo shuffle coordination vs 2400 RMP difficulty would be hilarious, but you get my point) and you could use it to test new talent builds, hone your skills with your friends and practice specific setups/goes. For example you and two friends queue into practice 3v3, set to medium difficulty (1600 rated skill level ish) and choose either two random dps and a healer, or specific comps to fight against. A win could award you, I dunno, 15 honor or something. Could put a cap on daily honor limits from practice mode or something to avoid some kind of abuse, but this would be a great way for people unfamilar with PVP to get into it and learn with a DBM style “kick this cyclone to keep your healer free to save you” type of thing at lower difficulties. A lot of people arent aware of certain mechanics in PVP and instead of having to sit through countless videos of a youtuber yapping abbreviations that they dont understand, players could jump in and have a chance to learn instead of getting immediately dunked on by the three multiglads playing their fresh MMR alts. This would also allow new players to learn without the toxicity that we have all seen in shuffle and other similar gamemodes. I would love to hear more thoughts on this from all of you, hopefully my wall of text made at least a little bit of sense. Thanks frens
This might help grandpopjim with his q anxiety
I train for PvP by driving through Philly after any of our given sports teams tanks out of the postseason.
thats what shuffle and bgb are
Try being a Chicago sports fan, it’s much worse
Real gladiators are made in the pit of durotar not fighting bots. Leave that for pve nerds.
If you DBZ fuse them together they become San Francisco but with more poo.
Nobody doing this mode would be a gladiator, it would bring in people that want to try PVP but dont know where to start
You git gud at pvp by fighting everyone in durotar between bg ques until you know your class inside and out.
Every bg ignore objectives and 1vX.
Eventually you’ll be ready for your glad push.
Shuffle it’s even easier. After you become a battle hardened durotar gladiator you’ll know how to spot the weak link fast and kill then every round and be legend in no time.
Actually true, when I was half decent at the game I use to duel in durotar all day
Me too. Except by dueling I actually mean sitting on the Darkshire rooftops and chucking grenades at unsuspecting gnome and NE players. That’s why I have such high ratings.
Ya i posted this idea years ago.
I do think this could be a really good idea, similar to training grounds.
It would be on actual maps vs bots that do specific things, like some would run you down and you had to kite them for X seconds during their CDs with a telegraphed buff, then you could fight them and rinse and repeat.
You’d have one verse a healer that you had to kick/cc.
You’d have a warlock port around and channel big damage on you and you had to chase him while not ranging/lining your healer.
You’d have a simulated 3v3 where an enemy bot would run at your healer to CC them and you’d have to stop their CC chain or you lose, etc.
I’d put it at something like mage tower difficulty for people to prog and learn it.
Oi you talking trash and deleting
A training mode would be so good.
Well done. I salute you sir.
No, that’s what rated 2v2 is.
