PvP tip for Alliance

Every battleground I’ve played I notice the Alliance focuses mainly on kills rather than objectives. Your faction will rack up many kills but the teamwork is so poor the win rate is lower than the Horde.

Focus more on team accomplishment rather than individual pride!

When my toons first hit max level, i spend most of my time just outside of the objectives stunning, slowing, fearing, kiting, and just generally making a nuisance of myself.

Alliance get so kill happy, i can generally drag 3-7 of them (depending on what i’m playing) far away from the objectives. They’ll get one more kill eventually, but by then the rest of my team has captured 3 mine carts or 2 flags or 2 bases or w/e.

They go in expecting to lose most of the time I think. Making lemonade and such. At least padding their honor kills makes them feel like it wasn’t time wasted.

Its hit and miss with battlegrounds. Sometime you get a kick butt group othertimes you get the roadwarriors. Horde is more consistant at pvp but they too can derp pretty hard. Also depends on which bg you get to determine how hard a faction will generally try to win.

2019 and people still think that only certain people play certain factions…

To be fair, the few serious Alliance pvpers don’t join random BGs. They group up. So only the derps end up in Alliance random BGs. Sometimes they win anyways, because Horde has derps too, and the gear difference can make up for it. Also you guys seem to have more healers, i swear i get queue’d against 4 Alliance healers when Horde only has 1 or 2 all the time.

That’s the problem with pvp in every MMO I’ve ever played - especially pug battlegrounds & war zones. Theres always a solid 60% of the squad that’s off YOLO battling 1v1 or off in the roads. Then theres the 1 or 2 other guys who just sit at the spawn complaining about everyone is a noob baddie who needs to uninstall. Then theres the 3 guys left actually trying to cap nodes or max resources or follow the strat. I’m generally that strat guy and seriously considering uninstalling like the cry baby is hollering in team channel - not because of my play skills but because it’s no fun losing 99 times out of 100

The thing I’ve always hated about pug pvp is everyone Is kill happy until you need them to be. Half the group needs to kill that one guy standing way over there not doing anything? Ok. The group wants to chase that one guy who is clearly pulling you to his friends to waste you? Ok. We are charging to take a point we clearly should take easily as we out number them by a safe margin… oh look the group stopped to watch me solo these 3 guys… great.

Anyway I haven’t pvpd any since I came back. But as you said it is pretty much like this everywhere.

Horde have always seemed to rely more on dps then healers. Which isn’t a bad thing if your dps are good.

I had a bg the other day where i was the only ally healer, standing dead center of everyone, and horde completely ignored me as i had freereign to heal up everyone. Both sides can derp pretty hard.

1 good healer can hold a base in a pug. In organized pvp shutting down one healer is easy enough but there is only so much 1 person can do against them.

You’d have a DH or Warrior eating your face the entire BG if i’d been there.

I’d be waiting outside the spawn for you with a /hug emote.

But that Tauren Druid mooned me :open_mouth: I gotta catch him now!

/point and /laugh has dragged more Alliance across the map than death grip ever could.

Yo for real though you just described me. When a Druid moonfires me and I see that accursed animation on me I go into a rage and chase them across the world

I wish you were there. I was like “…really…no one wants to even try to kill me? sigh”

We’d make beautiful music together the entire BG.

Just remember half the “Alliance” you see are Horde mercs that wouldn’t be queueing Alliance side if they wanted to win.
