Am I just bad, or is it the class? I know I’m under geared, but, with that name… You’d think I could, survive. I help my team better as MM, and just don’t care for BM.
So I’m wondering if y’all think it should be 15% leech (base) in pvp or not. I noticed almost no Hunter plays the spec in either pvp or pve…
I like the idea of fighting side by side with your pet, but somethings off. The names survival, yet I can do that better as BM and MM, in pvp, weirdly… (I’m sure that joke been made a lot)
I just took up survival last week and it has been a blast gearing him a bit. You need to learn how to play the class and make use of your extremely versatile toolkit.
Read up on some guides on wowhead, watch some videos.
You are a CC/burst opportunity type spec meaning that you need to hit fast and hard, and evade/avoid/kite heal up; this is not a roll your keyboard and hope for the best spec. You will want to adjust your PVP talents dynamically based on what you are fighting.
@Thousandfold Yeah, I probly should change my talents, cause I was using icy veins spec pve. (Unrelated, do I need to use @(player name) been on Reddit too long, and it also says who I’m replying to…
As survival against equally geared players you should do well against a lot of classes 1v1 if you play it correctly and more haste helps you with your globalls making it easier to get your abilities off and lowers some things cooldowns a little if I’m not mistaken.
Run a raid bot sim amd see what haste runs at for u…having 8 haste and not knowing that’s bad lol? Faster haste makes your rotation smoother and focus regen faster …u can read the tooltip as u hover your mouse over haste in character screen.
Haste is especially important when running Birds of prey with Blur azerite traits. If you are running that build you can literally never have enough haste because the more haste you have the more weight the stat holds. I’ve had haste sim for twice as much as agility during Uldir.
That being said, you probably won’t be running that build in pvp.
you are focusing on the damage portion. and yea in a bg setting MM will prob be much more powerful as long as you stay max range and just turret. SV survivability relys on its leech and its in and out of range playstyle. you should never be going toe to toe with any melee spec because the have damage mitigation defensives where as you don’t. we have a melee toolkit but range defensives. its and odd mix but once you get used to it the playstyle works and is really strong
