I see all the top rated Havoc DH’s stack Mastery and Versatility, but they also have builds that go down the outside of the talent tree - that being the momentum route and the any means necessary route.
My question is we go down the 2 left side pathways (momentum and chaos theory + know your enemy), would we be better off stacking crit and versatility?
Probably haste/vers but you’d be gimping yourself.
Momentum is crazy rn
I actually like momentum for PvP (not so much for pve though), so I plan to keep that talent pathway to Essence Break. I also like the pathway next to it (blind fury, isolated prey, and chaos theory). The pathway I would prefer to do without is the one that goes through burning inferno, burning wound, accelerated glave, and soul rend to get any means necessary. And since those talents benifit heavily from mastery, i was wondering if not taking them would devalue mastery enough, for crit to be a viable option.
For me, crit or haste would be more fun than stacking mastery.
Problem is you just can’t get kills that way right now.
As a dh it heavily relies on your immo and soulrend pressure then big combos with hunt essence break death sweeps. Which only can be big with any means necessary, unfortunately.
Stop overcomplicating it its Vers, Mastery
The most important pvp statistic is versatility for all classes but you have to balance stats for your pvp build outside of that just like in pve.
