Does it matter if I go to a low population server compared to a high? I’m worried about instance/pvp grouping if I join a low populated pvp server.
At the same time, i’m worried about going to a high populated server to do wait times.

All servers listed right now are going to be very high pop come release. Even if they are listed as low right now, there will be tons of people coming over when they see the q times on the server they chose.
If you’re planning on doing the grand marshal / high warlord grind, the higher pop the better. As stated though, it looks like they’re all going to be pretty high pop.
You’re going to a PvP server and those are your only concerns regarding population? LOL.
Someone is about to learn the magic of playing on a server with a 60% population of rogues.
Meh, I don’t fear rogues as a Hunter. Hard counter.
Here is the deal. From what has been finally put out from Blizz if you are on a server that is list as Full you will have at minimum multiple hours of sitting in a queue and some of those servers are so overpopulated they broke the queue. If you are on a server with High pop you will still get a queue just nothing even general on how long. If you are on a server that is listed as Medium you won’t have a queue (at least if the server stays at medium) however a Medium 2019 Classic server is far more populated than the most heavily populated Vanilla server in 2006.
From there we can infer that Low means anywhere from ghost town empty to having slightly more pop than the fullest 2006 server, Blizz hasn’t given us anything to narrow it down more than that.
That was all I was looking for. Ty
Yes, I’ve already grind once in my life to Warlord so I can bet I know what to expect. It’s just I don’t remember how servers work.
Yeah but i’ve already been on the other side.
