From season to season I’ve casually done battlegrounds. It’s on and off depending on the class tuning and overall feel of the fights between the horde and alliance.
I’m no gladiator so I see my fair share of roflstomping.
This season though (dragonflight season 3)
Is especially bad.
Priests, unkillable.
Shamans, untouchable.
Warriors, uncontrollable.
Hunters, no contest. Full HP to dead in an instant.
Demon hunters, no contest. But not as bad as it has been. ESPECIALLY from the first couple of weeks of the season.
Balance druids, your whole team gets deleted by their mindless passive AOE, Healers just can’t keep up with the amount of damage they do.
This is the first season in a long time I want nothing to do with it. It’s poison with a capital P.
The class imbalances are severe, I’m now avoiding pvp altogether as it’s no longer fun or challenging. It’s dead and full of trash gamers, it’s just one sided stomp-fests ALL the time now.
I know blizzard has told us they are trying to work something out for pvp. But that’s not the here and now.
I know this post is probably pointless and quite a few people are just gonna say I’m complaining. But that’s just it, I shouldn’t be coming here to complain about stuff like this.
Why can’t we get this right here and now? I do pvp for the rewards and mounts, but they are so far out of my league, is causes endless frustration. Almost as frustrating as no longer being able to acquire the disco kitties from the legion mage tower.
Honestly, the only class balancing that really needs to happen on behalf of Random BGs are MM Range nerfs, Boomie AoE nerf, and putting a 3 target cap on Peaceweaver
Game feels good to me. If you want to check my biases, I play Dev, Fury, Ele, and Veng
Just never ever queue for random BGs - there’s no reason to and a thousand reasons not to. It’s basically a metaverse access point for degenerates at this point.
The classes are going to be generally tuned around 3’s arenas, and the tuning overscales in to battlegrounds and epics.
If/when they nerf balance druids, I’ll happily keep playing druid and go back to playing resto. I’d love dearly to see resto druid mana management get better first.
It doesn’t hurt to have a few toons lined up that might fit the flavor of the month.
I havent seen any world PvP like it since then … when regularly there’d be raid groups formed only just to assault the other faction’s PvP vendors, or attack the capital cities. And a lot of PvPers within a server got to and know each other.
The expansions since then have areas where World PvP might happen in the form of a few skirmishes here and there while questing or fighting over resources… but I found them to be small and often impersonal. Kill a few characters, get what you want, then leave.
I’d say they are referring to elemental shamans. They can kite almost indefinitely, and their damage comes from close to 100% instas. Resto is in a good spot as well, its just that resto druid and disc priest are so binkers, comparatively resto shaman loks week, but they can pump heals and if played with people who understand how they heal, are very very good.
Lets not talk about enhancement, they didn’t mean enhancement, no one in their right mind would pit enhancement shaman in any tier of broken pvp.
That’s part of it. But enhancement is an odd spec. We are a builder/spender spec, but all of our spenders are ranged, but all of our builders are melee. We have the tools to kite like a ranged class, but are required to be in melee to generate most of our msw stacks, without the tools to stand toe to toe with other melee.
I love enhancement, it just needs a little help in the melee defensives area. We are mostly fine at interrupting casters, between lasso, sheer, grounding, tremor, and hex, you can shut down a caster for a bit. But our melee defensives are terrible amd need a bit of a bump.
