PvP Rewards and Item Levels

So it costs just over 11k conquest to get a single version of each piece (sorry dual roles) of gear. That’s 21 weeks of hitting conquest cap
… so half a year almost?

Literally going to be getting the last piece of gear on the final week of the season. This value really needs to be looked at.
I guess great vault does change things up a little? Still. Seems rough.

Rating gating makes sense, until you introduce the M+ weekly gear drop system. Being able to clear mythic Castle Nath (or whatever is the most relevant raid) should reward the highest ilvl of gear; it’s primarily a pve game. Similarly, being able to compete at gladiator or above should reward the highest ilvl of gear, respectively. It’s a certain % of players that prove their worth of that ilvl, it’s not an unreasonable design for an MMO. if you’re better at the game than the majority of the population, then you should get better items than them. It’s that simple.

However, there hasn’t been something to equivocate this in the M+ keystone system. In order to solve this they would also need to implement some type of “minimum key completed” rank gate for a certain ilvl of gear. At a certain level of key it is also very challenging and rewarding content that a small % of players do, so it would also make sense to carry that design over to this element of the game as well.

Yeah it was a half baked post. Not much detail gone into it.

Yeah not to 550, and requiring 5000 conquest achievement earned in order to buy the conquest weapons

Agreed, I have zero problems with rating gating if its
A. Reasonable (1800 max)
or
B. No system in place OTHER then PVP to bypass it faster.

But no, Blizzard cant even do ONE of those solutions.

The 550 a week isnt even enough to buy a big piece, can only get offset pieces and how do you expect anybody to be able to afford a weapon, stop forcing pve onto players, if the game is fun then alts will retain the playerbase stop trying to time gate everybody to play every piece of content to get decently geared

Where is the button to report this for trolling? Cause this can’t be serious.

550 is relative to costs, which are lower than in the past.

Weps have typically be locked to 3-4 weeks so 10 is insane to me.

Should be 1.5-2k which is 3-4 weeks.

Being able to buy a major armor slot week 1 has never happened for conquest.

Literally the biggest problem this game faces is ilvl inflation, and from the responses in this thread, people were expecting to be able to grind conquest and get a full set of max ilvl gear within the first week or two of the season.

People also seem to be ignoring that while you pvp for conquest gear, you can literally run all the other content. People that choose to only play 1/3 of the end game (PvP instead of raids, and M+) are only handicapping themselves if their sole focus is getting better gear.

Conquest cap in the SEASON

It’s 550 per week, but rolls over to the following week if you don’t play for a week or whatever.

How is that a good system?

Isn’t one piece of gear 1600 to 2000 conquest? That means you’ll have to play for 4 weeks to buy ONE conquest piece (helm, chest, or legs). Then after that you’ll have to play 3 more weeks to buy ONE conquest trinket. At that rate, your full set of gear (not even including the cost of conduits), will cost ~22k conquest. That’s 40 weeks of farming before you’re fully conquest geared. 10 MONTHS!! absolutely ridiculous.

Alright. Thought it about it and this represents how I feel about this system.

Please either increase the cap or allow players to increase their cap by pushing rating. 10 weeks for weapons is excessive imo

Since people were talking about prices and unsure what they were, here’s what I see on the vendor in-game as Arms (feel free to correct if I’m wrong or miss something):

  • 2hander sword is 1800.
  • 1 hand sword is 900.
  • Shield is 450.
  • Chest/legs/helm are 875.
  • Boots/gloves/belt/shoulders/non-CC trinkets are 700.
  • CC trinkets/wrists/back/rings/neck are 525.
  • Conduits are 200.
