It should be top class/spec-specific players so itâs not 3000 demon hunters
(I mean, ideally Blizzard would balance their game so there werenât obvious good and bad meta comps, but thatâs never gonna happen)
I would rather see the worldâs top feral druid or mistweaver get a title than the worldâs 200th demon hunter
This is a really fun opportunity, thanks for adding it. Does the .01% calculation include level 60 players/characters who have never done M+? E.g., the arena title doesnât include players who donât do arena. If so, I can understand why players feel incentivized to transfer to Alliance, as Alliance seems both larger and overall less competitive about the game. However, if non-M+ players are excluded from the calculation, the title would be more easily obtained as Horde, as there are more M+ players on Horde than Alliance (see raider io counts by faction, if interested). This would thus just be one more reason for players to go Horde. Thanks!
Gonna go out on a limb and guess that itâs based around anyone who has an M+ rating of higher than 0.
Cool, so all of the Paladins healers, Demon Hunters, WW Monks, Druid tanks, and Frost Mages will get this.
You clearly have no idea whatâs going on in the game. The top 20 tanks worldwide represent 5/6 classes. There just isnât a strict meta this season.
Isnât it like 300 monks and 300 mages?
Either way, I think it makes more sense that the best of the best of each class / spec be rewarded for pushing themselves individually than whatever class comp has the most meta edge this season.
One format rewards mastering the class you want to play, even if it is off-meta, the other rewards rerolling fotm.
i agree, cuz for example - majority of the healers in the top bracket are going to be paladins and then shamans. if itâs class represented, I think itâll be a more realistic goal for many people.
(No iâm not saying this for myself - i know i would have to put in a lot more effort to get the druid one even with a change like that).
but iâm just thinking of under represented classes, and how daunting it is for this achievement. Some classes can pug this entire thing, others it wonât be possible.
make it class/spec specific.
Sure, but almost no one pugs to 0.1%. Pugging with randos is pretty much over by 0.5%.
Not exactly. I main frost mage and itâs been absolute hell trying to get io without a team or consistent tank. I fell behind and currently at 2745 - itâs next to impossible to get into keys I need - there are plenty of 2800+ frost mages to choose from and theyâre almost always going to take the highest io. With the game being as dead as it is, there are very few 25 keys or higher that pop up in queue.
I 100% agree with this.
Has this title been given out? Or is everyone who won the title still waiting for Blizzard to get around to giving it out?
iâd imagine itâll be given out at the end of the season, so thereâs still time if youâre pushing for it
The S2 title will be rewarded when S2 is over.
tank role may be diverse but healer and dps is not
For dps 8/12 classes are represented in the top 100 players. Serious paladins have 2 other specs to choose from, unlikely anyone will play ret that high while thatâs the case, even so top ret is 149 of all dps. Spriest is 190. Lock is 196 and dk is 197. You donât have to go far to find every single class on the dps leaderboards.
For healers is not great, but weâre seeing some balancing in this area. Hpriest and rdruid were just buffed in damage and healing and hpal got some nerfs.
Class representation is not the same as spec representation. I play a feral. The closest analogous play-style match isnât even a druid, itâs Assassination rogue.
And while we live in the paradigm of spec niches, the single target specialist will go to the one that offers the most benefits. Whether anyone likes it or not, the Meta right now is funnel, funnel, aoe. Priority damage is the best way to save time allowing for larger pulls.
Yet every single guide encourages every dps to play zerg aoe and the community is obsessed with the overall dps. Feral isnât a bad spec, they have one of the best STs, theyâre just competing for the ST slot against Rogue. The Feral utility is miles behind any rogue spec. That said, feral is an unpopular spec. Those who play it are probably the most stubborn in the game about it.
I wouldnât want to see a âmehâ rogue swap to feral to earn things because the competition is thin.
That assumes that a âmehâ rogue would be better at feral than the top 0.1% of ferals. Interesting take.
