Has there been any information provided about how PvP ranking will work? I’m assuming it’ll be the same ungodly system from original wow and classic?
It’s the updated one where everyone and their mother will hit rank 14 on week 8. But there is no honor system for phase 1.

New updated system that is in Era and SoD will be what is used for Fresh. No decay, other peoples rank has no bearing on your ranking anymore. Every rank has a certain amount of max honor to grind each to move up…link got posted while typing, ty! ^

It will be a little more difficult than that until they release BG’s in p3. Can people get 100k+ honor in wpvp. Sure. But it won’t be easy (assuming nothing else changed). You will likely have to be in small groups, too big you get a crap split, too small you get rolled. DR’s, no NPC, weekend, win, or mark honor will make it rough. For sure people will do it. And the first ranks are pretty easy to make progress in. But your average joe isn’t hitting 500k. Thats 1,250 kills @400 hpk, but more likely you get likely you average 50-100hpk > 5,000-10,000 hks, w/o DR.
Not to mention, losers get 0.
