I did 110,000 honor and several hundred hks the past week and my rank never changed , as far as I can tell the rank bar did not even move, last week I did a lot less honor and I jumped a full rank level , my question is at rank 7 doesn’t 110000 honor and all those hks move your ranks at all? I jumped a full rank with way less honor last week , does it reset every Tuesday morning?

Yep if I remember correctly the rank updates on every Tuesday, you get your fancy new rank.
Basically I think the Alliance(or horde) only does their Honor paperwork on Tuesdays.
its because its an outdated 2004 system. it uses brackets with thresholds. basically you got 110k honor last week, but lets say you needed 120k to go to the next rank, you basically just wasted so much time getting that 110k bc now youll have to still get 120k. (likely prolly 90k) but if the bar didnt move then youre gonna have to get 120k again. im unsure why blizz didnt just remake the vanilla pvp system. i like it but i think they shouldve ironed out all the kinks in it and enhanced it.
Because everyone would complain that they can’t reach rank 14?
ty for your response, was helpful, never done the vanilla ranking before and was confused why after so many bgs last week, and making more honor than the week before, why I never moved up a rank , I am only rank 7, anyways frustrating system, thanks again.
ya best thing to do is download “Ranker” addon on curseforge and press “H” and at the top press “show ranker” then set the rank objective to rank 10 (champion) and set honor limit to the max )337,500) as of now. then once a week you need to get 15 honorable kills rq to show how much honor you will need to rank.
I dont remember the exact honor you need to go from rank 7 to rank 8, but its like 120k or something. Just make sure when you want to push a rank before Tuesday, that it’s very important to just push the entire rank. example- rank 7 to rank 8. get all that honor for it. bc its never worth pushing for partial like 30% or 80% etc. best to just go up a full rank.
For 7-10 it takes 2 weeks. One week of 144k and second week 240k. Any less than 144k your not gonna move at all.
