PvP Rank Pools Hotfix Coming October 13

thus hurting them, This isnt even going into the fact that now in raid you are competing against a warrior that does not need to bid on anything but rings/trinkets

You brought it up as a point against the current system and for the change?

I used it as an exaggeration because of how gear dependent warriors are ofc a brain dead player is still brain dead but between average players it makes a massive difference.

Speaking of warriors blizz should probably nerf edgemaster’s handguards because you know #changeeverything. I mean these things have literally been bis since day one and will be till the end.

My favorite part of this change is the fact that they are doing it as a hotfix prior to honor reset.

Bad enough they are screwing over their rankers as a whole, but the people who are on their last week like a friend of mine are getting doubly f***** over. This week should have been his last and then he leaves for 3 weeks unable to rank, now he probably won’t hit 14, and then decay for 3 weeks.

What an utter joke of a company Blizzard has become.

Because I’m telling you that people will not look between a R14 Warrior and a MC/BWL warrior and instantly choose the R14 warrior just because.

Your argument is that the more people who have R14, the fewer newbies who aren’t R14 will be welcome in raids. This is false for several guilds, my own included.

For us, it’s never an issue of who’s already better geared. It’s just whoever we think is a good person to raid with. Gear improves naturally over time, and we’re at the point where we don’t even need the extra DPS.

The reason we’re talking about this is because I’m trying to say: the way the system is now does not harm new player’s prospects of joining raids and gearing up that way. In my case, it’s the inverse; the few of us who choose to grind to the higher ranks are actually put BEHIND other players who aren’t so fortunately geared in loot prio, and we support this because we already put in the work for R13/14.

I wasn’t going to play cyberpunk 2077 because I wanted to go rank 14 on multiple characters. I pay for a lot of padding accounts too.

I guess you don’t want that money so I’m going to play other games such as cyberpunk 2077.

What a joke. Just when the pvp community was thriving and blizzard does this kind of stupid update

Edgemasters were BiS in vanilla too sothey should stay. Still waiting on literally anything that shows you could make 300 alts a week to inflate the pvp pool in vanilla though.

I was thinking the same thing about cyberpunk. It looked so appealing but wanted rank 14 so bad. Blizzard made that decision easier.

Smarter people that know the game way better than they did in vanilla. Edgemasters got de’d for the longest time in vanilla before anyone realized it was actually bis. Same with the honor system. Smarter people that know the game way better. I’m done with you. You’re apparently someone that wants changes and I supported the now long failed #nochanges.

There wasn’t anything stopping you from doing it? Whether or not it was fully taken advantage of is really not the point, particularly when you’re talking about that raid buffs etc that people now have continuous access to.

200k honor is 66 games of earning 3k honor each game playing perfectly for a win. That’s about 25 hours total if your games are 23 minutes each.

How long it take everyone to get full t2.5? A few months at 3 hours each week? 5 pieces of gear+1 weapon = 6 weeks minimum of the items drop and you win each time. That’s 24 hours total.

Now in 24 hours time you are bis for the phase. But 200k honor isn’t giving you gear upright, pending your rank. If you are rank 10, hitting 200k honor isn’t automatically pulling you into rank 11, you’ll need to do another 200k honor to hit that and then the next rank. So 3 weeks to go from rank 10 to rank 12 and you get 3 pieces of gear plus a mount. That’s a time commitment of 75 hours which is unsustainable.

By yoir logic since raiding equals easy gear, it should be nerfed so players have to put in more time.

And the other logic, of “it wasn’t in vanilla and Thurs shouldn’t be in classic,” half the pop in the day didn’t world buff stack nor had access to better gear with one blanket patch giving powerful talents/gear, so does that mean we should nerf raid rewards? The pool parties were fine.

Waits until the end of Phase 5 to implement these changes… But every other problem we ask you to fix gets completely ignored or intentionally over looked. What was the purpose of rolling this out though? Do you REALLY think it fixes anything?

“there wasn’t anything stopping you from doing it” Whos to say they didnt have a similar system in place like they are now implementing? people in vanilla were not cave men if this was doable it would have been done by the hardcore guilds.

Only plus I see from all of this is that alot of afk rankers will go away and bgs might become more fun.

My argument was never about how easy gear is to get only if it had been made easier through exploits.

You clearly don’t understand what this is all about. If anything it will increase bots in bg’s.

Consider that the type of person Blizzard likes to employ is usually hostile toward “entitled gamers”…I’m not that surprised honestly. They probably think themselves heroes for sticking it to gamers.

A blue post could say, but since the system was built off of their own original coding, my guess would be no, they didn’t have that in place at the time. You would have thought if they caught onto this and didn’t want it in Vanilla that it would have went ahead and been implemented initially in Classic, no?

Yea why would you implement the change now?? I am a casual ranker and pad a lot. I guess no point playing anymore cause I am not going to teach that rank anyway

What a stupid decision and destroying the pvp player base.
