Hello,
I tested all updated racials on the PTR.
- Mag’har orc increases not a random stat, but one of the 2 good stats now - for me f.e. gives 6750 mastery or versatility which, for MM hunter is about 13% damage buff (if you get mastery) or 9% vers buff (9% damage and 4.5% defense). For other classes it would be haste/vers. Still very good.
This makes it the strongest burst racial in the game, surpassing normal orc AP buff.
- Zandalari
All the buffed “loa” abilities are completely worthless still. Maybe the healing one is a bit more interesting.
Regenerating is usable while dotted, heals for 50% health over 6 sec, affected by dampening. Big nerf for palas (bubble → regen), buff for all others. Still mid.
- Draenei - 20% heal OFF GCD on 2 min timer → increased by versatility, usable on others, I’d say quite good. Pairs with many defensive abilities in the game with the new 2min CD, and also with the Battlemaster trinket. Much much better than before.
Also, draenei already has about 1000 main stat on live, which is great.

Worgen - still underwhelming, can be stacked with any speed increase for flag carrying for a few sec.

Highmountain tauren - huge huge buff. Decreases any hit you take by 3K with full PVP gear (scales with gear).
This is the new best defensive racial in the game vs DoT classes and pet classes. Any attack against you is reduced by 3k. Corruption damaged you 100 times in the span of a game → you saved 300K health from corruption alone. BM hunter zoo autoattacks hit you 1000 times in an arena match in total amongst all pets, you prevented 3M damage from this racial alone.
Does nothing againt big hits though.
Not to be confused with vulpera racial which prevents 350K damage from the first hit by each new enemy, but does nothing afterwards.
- Void elf - big big buff - the thing now travels faster than you so you can use it to chase people, or as a movement ability, not only to kite. Also travels further away. For example, you’re running after somebody - you can use the ability in their direction, it reaches them fast, you teleport → kidney. Will make it good for melees too. Can also be useful if you’re with the flag - about to reach the flag drop zone - launch the ability in front of you and then teleport to cap the flag, effectively blinking forward like a mage.
The one that gives you 5% more damage is also improved. Before, it used to be 5% damage duplicated, which in PVP was reduced twice by vers or other effects. Now it’s just 5% more damage, so no more double dipping. Good fix.

Nightborne - 3min CD 80% AOE slow (still bad)

Vulpera - 80% single target slow (still bad)

Lightforged draenei - scales better, can hit more people more easily, you can probably get 1M or so damage if you hit 3 people and get 1-2 crits from it. Average IMO
Overall - some quite good updates, especially to mag’har, highmountain and draenei.
Sadly, nothing beats nelf racial still.
