Literally the bare minimum. I’m content with the rest of TWW, but PvP has been left to rot so long it needs some major investment to make bring it up to snuff at this point. A couple new BGs or BG reskins, etc. Something, anything.
It’s all good though, this is helping me break my WoW addiction and this is the fastest I’ve ever unsubbed.

None of what you listed is an issue. You seem to think anytime you lose to something, it then becomes an “issue”.
That’s not how this works.
I don’t care about losing cause I don’t need to win.
I already have everything I could get out of PvP or at least what I would care to get out of it.
And many of those issues would be issues in the eyes of a player base or a dev team that actually had its head screwed on straight.
How is botting in arena not a problem? How is r1 account trading not a problem.
How is the chrono loop dc bugging not a problem?
It’s only not a problem if the only thing you fixate on is winning no matter how many players get scorned/exploited in the process.

Only about what, 5-10% of the player base is really into PvP, so it makes sense that it would only get limited resources devoted to it.
That said, there’s some easy fixes they could do to improve PvP overall that shouldn’t take much work and would make that 5-10% of the player base much happier, but said fixes would also be met with a lot of vocal complaints from a tiny minority of that already minority PvP player base.
For an example of what I mean, just look at any post about Blitz, or war mode, or flying, or sync queue premades and you’ll see a massive wall of posts fighting against any kind of improvements to PvP, or people putting forth absolutely terrible ideas that would kill PvP as if it’s the most important change to make to the game right now!
Any time Blizzard DOES make a good change for PvP people crawl out of the woodwork to talk badly about said change. Anytime someone proposes good, easy, meaningful and often simple fixes to PvP, people come out and talk it down.
So as long as the PvP community that is shown to the developers continues to remain so overly hostile to actual improvements and new players, can we really be surprised that PvP gets such a limited amount of development?

Because you think every time you lose to someone that means they’re a bot.
Because you think every time you lose to someone they’re r1 account trading.
Not sure what you’re even talking about, but this is likely a user side issue. I’ve never experienced it.
I really only look when it’s being abused like the GY camp in AV. I actually get excited to get pulled into the camp on my dps because I know how to stop it but lord knows how long it went on before I got back filled into it. It was either the last or second to last epic I ran where I thought we had a chance to win so I looked at my team to figure why we lost and realized there were 87 people on my team in that match.
It’s destructive for the game, that’s why I side against it.

Care to provide where you got these numbers from?

Less than 3% in RSS which is the most popular form of rated. I get that since they provide the top 5000 per spec and it’s only like 4 of them that exceed 5000 and only 1 where it exceeds it in both EU and US (retadin), I add 20k to the total and assume half are duplicates, subs are based on the numbers they released during DF.
10% overall is probably pretty close to correct, unfortunately.
Please provide links to your statistics.

Only Blizzard has access to the actual numbers, but this is based on everything I’ve seen from people who have ran the numbers that are publicly available.
Said numbers of course rely on assumptions such as certain percentages of characters being alts, etc.
However the same could be said for anyone who thinks the PvP player base is more than that.
Just look at the activity on the forums in general. The general discussions move much, much faster than all three of the PvP forums combined.
So even just using that as a metric would show that those who are primarily interested in the PvP side of the game are in the minority, as far as those who post on the forums go.
But you see this trend across all areas, both in-game and out of game.
Whether you’re looking at WoW news videos, updates from the dev team themselves, or which parts of forums are most active. If you’re in war mode finding group quests is much harder using group finder as most are non-war mode. Etc.

Many frequent users here aren’t capable of expressing their thoughts.
Could be how hot the takes are also.
ROFL what were the categories?
- PvE
- PvP
- Pet Battles
There are so many things this Thaedreau kid just doesn’t understand.

I’m pretty sure bgblitz was an attempt to fix a bunch of issues. They also added a new bg this expansion. It’s not like we’re completely ignored.

It’s the casual players that are ignored. I’d rather they fixed unrated than invest in another form of rated, personally. 1 BG since Legion and the last wasn’t very well received.

Why not take the trolling to Reddit?

The official World of Warcraft X account did a poll on X in April of this year and with 14,906 votes this was the result:
Question: What activity defines your main?
Raiding/M+: 51.7%
Quests/RP/Rep: 32.3%
PvP: 12.9%
Professions/AH: 3.1%
Keep in mind this is just a result from people who took the survey on X. On average only about 8% of a game’s player base will interact with content about the game outside of the game itself so this poll, and any others, is hardly representative.
It’s most likely skewed towards hardcore players who do raiding, mythic+, and PvP. Most players who enjoy more casual activities in world of warcraft won’t even be checking the World of Warcraft X account to begin with.
I also found a poll by Razer as reported by Yahoo that 77% prefer PvE content over PvP.
I was unable to find any results of surveys beyond those two however, so if you’re able please direct me to where I can find the survey results you are talking about.
