Are you freaking serious?
Was it a flaw?
If no then it is not being exploited in the terms of " take advantage of a flaw in a computer system, " but is instead the simple act of “make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource).” Which mind you does not fall under the same catagory of exploitation that gets blocked as a form of cheating.
Is it unfair for me to fight another hunter and win because I know how to use the appropriate tools and limitations given to both of us? No that is not unfair.
It’s not. I linked the time on the URL to where he was talking about the debuff limit and called it a “technical limitation”. Wasn’t hard to find either.
Still waiting for you to explain how batching is an unfair advantage though. You keep on saying it’s like wall jumping. Batching doesn’t put you on top of the wall out line of sight of the people you can now freely attack.
Spell batching was not a bug or an exploit, every single person was on the same system which means it was equal footing so no one had an unfair advantage. It was essentially a mechanic of the game that was in the game for 10 YEARS!
At least Ziryus is just saying he doesn’t like it and wants it to be improved to the new system.
At the end of the day, the mechanic was in vanilla, and had some big ramifications for how combat felt and played. It is an aspect of the game that for me personally isn’t at the top of the totem pole of things that precious developer time should be focused on. That said, however, I would love to have the classic developers weigh in on this issue at some point, even just to say, yes or no, we are for it or against it. If it was made clear that batching was something they wanted, but that it might not necessarily be in at launch, it would be a great relief to know. Certainly it would reaffirm the developer’s commitment to making classic wow as authentic as possible.
its wanted because people want an advantage that has been removed/fixed and they cant get that in modern wow. if wall jumping, which is the same premise, is not allowed- neither will this.
just cause vanilla, isnt justification for any and all exploits, bugs and the like- to be implemented. not only that, but this is something people demand blizzard recreate, altering the 1.12. to make sure it is included. how is that also any different from them recreating the loot bug from then as well? the only difference is, that both were game breaking but one gave players an advantage over others.
and the fact that people are dismissing that this 1.12 will be on the modern client, is absurd.
until they completely removed it/fixed, cause intended. right.
i mean, it was completely intended for people to be able to long range through a wall, have hits land when no where in range- even though said abilities are very clear on what those ranges are.
There is no use arguing with her at this point. She avoids answering legitimate questions like the plague because she has no legitimate answers to them. I mean hell, she can’t even explain why she thinks batching is an exploit and not something intentionally based on a limitation and then changed later. Much, much later.
They were working on the back end architecture from day one to lessen the impact of batching and ultimately got to the point where they didn’t need it at all.
