How do you get that?
Surely it has nothing to do with the m+ gameplay infusion into PvP, or the absurd amounts of CC, or the poor MMR system, or the lack of rewards, or splitting of the player base across too many brackets, or or or…
It is a fake nonsolution that temporarily increases participation just a bit and then it creates the problem you’re talking about, the people that were bribed into queuing for easier rewards stop queueing at all.
I called it placebo bc it doesn’t really fix anything and makes things worse in the long run, pvp’s problems are a lot more complicated than just the reward structure.
Cool idea, but how is it that different from outside orgrimmar or sw or the capital city or flying around your favorite zones?
I feel like this may further delineate pvp from pve and make it feel MORE isolated.
Sure, but I think there should also be rating rewards that are kept completely unique and separate (not just recolors)
No. All this would do would be players get rewards and quit WAY sooner. Also, blizzard has talked about adding back “one-time” things several times and its always been very opposed. Personally idc, but a LOT of players feel one time is one time and I’m okay with that.
Sure, I’m down for that.
I think the past several have been good to great and shadow flame is the best ever IMO.
It’s hard, because some people LOVE busy ones and other people hate them.
In what rewards are concerned, they need to go back to how it once was and start designing unique PVP sets.
Idk if I’m the only one super bothered by the highest visual rewards (elite armor set and weapons) being just recolors of the tier collection.
These are all amazing suggestions
Why? Their customer service is run by chat GPT. Maybe thats how you communicate with blizzard
I’d expand on their Gladiators Sanctum and make it a self contained island.
Then make PvP either F2P or attached to the Xbox Game Pass.
Get an influx of players who wouldn’t normally play WoW. Maybe after getting hooked, they’d pay to access PvE.
Level 1-20 is clearly not enough of a drawcard.
PvP is a small part of the game, Blizzard spends the least amount of money possible on it already.
If it was a path for them to draw in new players, it might receive a budget boost.
Addendum…
Players on the island would level through BGs.
Heirloom gear would be purchasable on the island, but at a significant markup from the gear available to full sub paying customers.
Unrestrict players on the island from the limitation of the current trial system, so they have access to chat, mail, auction house and so on.
Blizzard could sell tokens to the F2P players who could then buy gear and consumables.
Players on the island would level through BGs
Until all the twink players start farming them lol
They’d have no other way to level though.
Then they’d just stop playing
Or they’d become the twinks.
I mean, I started playing while twinks were a thing, I got through it.
Not all of us are afraid of effort.
Were you forced to level just by doing bgs tho?
No, I chose to do that.
Good for you.
If people are forced to play against twinks they won’t just “power through”. Because there’s a big difference between “effort” and using a water gun against a missile
So pay your sub, and presto, you’re in exactly the same place as you are now.
Or they’ll just drop the game.
“Play in a disadvantage or pay”. Sure, some will play (like all those gacha addicts), but a lot more would just go “hell no”
So?
Are you worried about the current free trial players who don’t complete the free trial?
Do they somehow affect your game in any way?
I’m saying that it won’t work to attract new players if they’re forced to play against twinks.
Because just like the issue with queue synchers, as soon as there’s a big influx of new players playing in leveling bgs, a big influx of twinks will appear to “roflstomp” them.
I’m not saying your ideas are bad, just that unless they find a way to prevent twinks from ruining their games, it won’t do the trick of holding new players.
