Please, for the love of god, add PvP modifiers to spell abilities if we’re doing these nuclear buffs/nerfs to classes. They have resulted in numerous classes either being absurdly strong in PvP, when the intent was PvE, or vice versa.
Out of curiosity, would “please make this version of the game more like other versions of the game,” be an accurate rephrasing of what you’re asking for here?
There’s wrath and retail that has PvP modifiers . Try those and see how you like it .
I think the modifier is wrong but current state of pvp is one button win spam and is unhealthy for the game and drives people away
I don’t think they can in Vanilla Era. This isn’t a “ohnoes it’ll break Era”. It’s a “the code simply isn’t there”.
Now what they could do is implement a stacking debuff (so it can’t be dispelled or cancelled) that reduces the effects of CC and maybe even damage on you. Then just tweak how much negation it gives.
Just add resilience gear like our beloved TBC
The code isn’t there?
What a sad excuse, given what SoD is. There are mages healing with abilities not found in any era of WoW. Please stop with the “buT it’S cLASsIc” excuse.
You misunderstand, when they talked about making Classic; way back in 2019.
They talked about how modern WoW had spell components laid out differently than the original game. And the challenge was trying to replicate Vanilla and ‘make it work’ with Modern.
I don’t think Vanilla supported ‘different damage numbers for pvp vs pve’. If I’m remembering right, the only variable is durations.
It’s like trying to get a 64bit program to run on a 32bit system. Basically…it would require a total rewrite.
6.66 would be a good damage modifier. That would get some crits to 10k, which would be cool
No thanks.
Swords don’t get lighter and more dull because the target is human controlled…nor does a Lava Burst become cooler and softer.
This is how the 40-49 bracket of pvp has always been.
