As someone who enjoys leveling through pvp (More specifically BG’s) the balancing is completely awful. When you have players that can literally one shot others, making the battle ground essentially a 1 v 10 (or 1v15) it makes PvP leveling essentially impossible unless you’re lucky enough to get one of those people on your team or if you are that person.
If you decide to enchant your gear, and even min max your leveling gear that’s one thing, yes you should be more powerful than players who aren’t doing that. However, specs like Marksman Hunter in leveling BG’s are off the charts broken. Sure, people will always hate on feekback that is critical of aspects of PvP, and you all can complain about this post all you want. But many players who want to level through pvp decide not to because of the extreme balancing issue going on. I know not as much focus is on low level PvP, but there needs to be changes. It seems like many of the changes were aimed towards enchants, adding level requirements and item level requirements, which made some enchants either unviable for leveling or outright unable to be used. But that wasn’t really the big issue. Players should be rewarded if they choose to enchant their gear, should it have been scaled down in power? Absolutely. It’s mainly the stark difference in power that one person has vs others.
Brackets that aren’t max level are not now, nor will they ever be balanced, if you want to have fun in those brackets either twink or make a rogue/hunter. It’s been this way since the dawn of wow, and will be this way when it dies.
a properly geared toon will survive a hunter, most people just don’t put the effort into gearing the toon properly.
I don’t agree with only playing the OP class to counter the OP class, I play many toons (druids, monks, priests, mages, warlocks, & others) and I don’t have major issues with hunters. When you are properly geared you can counter a hunter, even the MM hunters.
Most of the players I see with hunter issues are the under geared kids that show up missing gear, have old low i-lvl gear or even grey / white NON-stat gear.
Equalize and normalize stats in 10-69 PvP. Sorry about the money you spent on gear and enchants.
Activation Blizzard, you want more players? Quit watching them queue into a 10-69 BG, get absolutely destroyed, logout, play league of legends and never login again.
5g-200g per Gem or Enchant is pennies to the glass, costs these days.
I agree, there is depth in gearing options within the Chromie Time brackets for sure.
Lots of cool gadgetry to tinker with, plenty of stat options etc. Fun stuff overall.
The thing here is that with players with average gear to selected bracket can demonstrate which outliers are present. Without some attention to these major outliers (there are many, not just Hunters) even equal gear will not mean anything.
Our lower brackets are in need of some specific tuning adjustments, a little would go a long way.
That’s basically what I’m saying. People on this thread for example said stamina is best, which yes that’s 100% accurate, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that low level pvp needs tweaked.
In my opinion is it should be a option to level, which it sort of is, but in its current state it’s much slower than the alternative methods, and very unbalanced. As someone who has played since vanilla, I’ve done pretty much all the leveling quest lines enough times. I’ve done the dungeons enough times.
In a sense having everyone have baseline stats for their class in each bracket would be nice, but presents more issues.
In our current state, equal gear across the board would still display the outliers.
Class/Spec tuning per specific bracket and gearing powers are two separate assignments. Both important.
Three Dungeons will provide six? items most of the time. This combined with crafted + Heirlooms and the character is viable. Decent anyway.
Looking forward past all of the possible class/spec issues, PVP Heirlooms and PVP Vendors updated would be nice.
With this we could also do well with some further scaling up of characters that are in need of it. Bring them up to par with ideal main stat and stamina levels.
The lower brackets are always nice to see running with a healthy population.
Active brackets throughout the game work together for the overall PVP participation imo.
