At least we can agree on that. I’d rather solo get deleted so some of the other ladders go back to being more active. And bliz needs to add more rewards I think to keep the player base more engaged for longer periods of time.

Ye. Start the ladder higher so the play isn’t always “afk 3 months then q”. Also ladder specific incentives so people don’t all just funnel to the easiest one therefore further making it easier.

No, not really, because my life doesn’t hinge on the game, it’s just something that I like to play.
There are plenty of other things that I do, and that I could do instead, if I chose to, and my life would still allow me to do inordinate amounts of it.

Look, it’s no secret that I prefer 3v3 over shuffle, but I don’t dislike shuffle and I think it’s overall done an amazing job making pvp accessible. That being said, if it never had giga inflated S1 then I don’t think we’d see a fraction of the “OMG MMR CAPPED” complaints.
You can’t put the genie back in the bottle, though.
I think more rewards is a good start, but blizz HAS added more rewards and made them easier and easier to achieve, and it’s had the opposite effect on participation.
I think making the elite sets “free” is what created this problem of people feeling like the next step is SO far away because they’re essentially given the set as a participation award.

Maybe “more rewards” isn’t the right way to say it. I’m more into the idea that there should be unique rewards (incl 2400+ mounts) in each bracket. To further clarify, I’m also not advocating for easier to get rewards. I hate that the elite weaps got moved down this season.

It isn’t just pvp, its m+ too. Far less groups in the group finder now than most DF seasons, at least df s1-3. Issues from DF weren’t really fixed going into TWW, in some cases things got worse IE defensive bloat is worse than DF due to hero talents, m+ design got worse due to multiple changes (death penalty, aoe stops not incurring interrupt ICD on mobs, etc), PvP is about the same imo maybe a bit worse due to increased defensive and mobility bloat from hero trees.
I think the reason people prefer to log classic outside of the major event going on with streamers is because the gameplay is chill. Its boring from my pov, but you get the same experience we used to get from m+ back in like legion. Log in, blast some content and relax. Retail is no longer relaxing, its pretty frustrating for most of its end game pillars. I’d log in every day if m+ was relaxing and fun, even frustrating and fun is kind of okay but right now its neither imo. Pugging absolutely sucks.
PvP is largely all about doing max damage fast leading to proper tuning mattering even more since its difficult to make up for doing less damage with CC or utility, having weakauras blasting because theres so much going on and the game isn’t really supporting that with its UI. No DR tracker, no way to customize what buffs/debuffs show or what size they are, etc. So it ends up being stressful/frustrating with how much is going on and how little the game itself actually supports tracking that.
Its not like people don’t try to play either. People want to log in and game, but theres very few people who want to be stressed out the entire time they are playing. Not to mention PvE dealing with lfg simulator because nobody is playing so theres very few groups in lfg, meta mattering more due to TWW changes, tank shortages due to TWW changes, etc.

Why even bother caring about anything Swine says? I’m not sure what value the words of an organism that doesn’t leave the house, doesn’t work, relies on government assistance to survive, stays logged into WoW 100% of it’s waking hours, and is so irredeemably insecure that nothing will ever be taken as anything but a personal attack are worth. But I’d venture to say, not much. To anyone. Anywhere. All Mong wants to do is be just like Swine, hence the little dollar store knockoff mimicking act.
Do an immense favor to yourself - put them on ignore. Time is a finite resource, so value your own, how you spend it, and where you direct your energy. Just disengage man.
