PVP is dying because there is no back and forth which makes pvp fun

As a demo lock it takes a solid 10 seconds of no heals for me to die. Try playing that.

yeah i think we should take turns. warrior auto hits you. warlock chaos bolts you. and so on.

don’t think they talkin from the gates opening jp qt

Hes not wrong, the game us awfully slow.

Another stat squish would definitely be welcome haha.

He said the ttk is too low as in people die too fast which is blatantly untrue

Oh you’re right, my fault.

I must be doing it wrong because trying to kill a healer in a BG is like chopping down a tree with a toothpick.

Ehhh not really.

Depends on the comp or how your healer is.

As a holy priest main, the game ends when I run out of mana lol which is usually 5 minutes or so. So arenas are usually 5-8 mins a pop.

I’m sick of the excuse always being, ā€œIt’s the end of the seasonā€. That was the problem with last season, and the season before that one, and the one before that one.

PvP has been dying for some time now, and they haven’t done anything to fix the problem. Enough with the excuses. Blizzard clearly doesn’t care about PvP.

definitely agree with this take

remove pillars and the ability to run away from the opponent

pvp is ā€œdyingā€ because there’s only a few weeks left in the season and only 2 months until a new expansion. only ones queing are the try hards.

Shuffle seems to be alive.

it is with 20+ min queue times on average

the 20-30 min ques say otherwise.

That’s because less people want to heal. You think league games would get filled as quickly if it didn’t force people to play roles?

Yes. you wouldnt be sitting 30+ minute ques lmao

back and forth is only fun when there are no inherent, high level modifiers (dampening). the more players on each side always win (usually, e.g., battle of the bastards GOT).

some insane realm vs. realm fights in DAoC years ago and there were no modifiers. if you didn’t have a template (gearing in WoW), you didn’t have much of an impact but you held those relic keep doors with your life.

I honestly think if you can somehow reinvigorate wPvP with points of interest it would be absolutely insane. this way you can work on multi-avenue balance (arena at all ratings, open world PvP, and instanced PvP like BGs).

rewards with these modes would totally push people to actually invest. idk too much to type but we definitely need to grow the game mode instead of super pretentious, I’m always right, 15 year glad egos.

P.S. not that we invalidate those players but perhaps we view the success in a different light in contrast to a rating (number on the screen).

P.S.S. as it happens, so far, with the conquest changes, it looks like wPvP is going to be absolutely INSANE for the 1st 8 weeks of TWW launch with people wanting to min/max so if we could somehow convince the PvE overlords to invest labor (money) into this game mode we would certainly draw interest. imagine if you could think of playing but decide not because M+ is boring, but you knew PvP was popping off 24/7 with callouts, movement, zergs, alliances, and more. what a dream that would be?

Nah the problem with PVP is the amount of CC each class now has. It is way too much.

Agree remove CC from every class, other than the OG pure dps classes Rogue, Mage, Lock and Hunter

The queues are a result of the support role being unsatisfying to play, however the stats objectively represent that solo shuffle is very much alive
