I love baseless statements like this.
Don’t forget “overrun with cheaters and exploiters”
Hyperbole much?
The crazy thing is this only applies to the top end of the competitive pvp ladders really. And even though it 100% happens, it’s don’t believe it is even as rampant there as people think. It’s amazing how the top end of the arena ladders is the only thing that means anything to so many players now days.
Yet there are entire websites dedicated to the stuff… if it wasn’t a big deal stuff like that wouldn’t exists…
Dude whyd you post in the bg forums LOL
There are entire websites dedicated to all kinds of stuff. Doesn’t mean it’s as big as you seem to think.
Why not?
… that honestly makes no sense… but i guess denying a problem will solve it right away.
Never denied it was an issue.
This is just a long-winded way of saying “it’s not a big deal”
yet only ebgs and arena do not have enlistment bonuses while every thing else does.
X for doubt.
that just means not a lot of people are playing it and they are trying to get people to queue…
During MoP I saw a person multi-boxing as 5 rogues in a regular BG. Never saw another multi-boxer I can recall. If it was a regular occurance I would have quit the game. Game exploits are very bad when they are experienced but in my non-rated pvp expierence, exceptionally rare for aledged scripting/botting. Cheating may increase when TWW has BGB be rated, time will tell. Right now most of the cheating that would negativly impact my game experience cant happen because I dont do EBG, or is rare because I dont play many regular BGs a week.
Like an interview about football and baseball. IT WAS INTERVIEW ABOUT SPORTS! HURR HURR HURR.
I watched the video and have also read some of the backlash on Venruki’s YT page and reddit. The complaints are almost entirely from arena players and one of the things they didn’t like was listening to information about BGs.
I was suggesting two separate interviews. One focused on arena and one focused on BGs might have gone over better. Read the comments on Venruki’s YT. Yes, one of the communities is far worse than the other. It’s no wonder why devs don’t want to do interviews.
People complain they don’t communicate with the players enough and when one does they @#$# all over him. Good job.
They’re about the same.
There’s currently 2-3 threads up about epics that do not involve community drama.
That’s not a fair comparison at all.
That’s too bad. There’s more to WoW PVP than just Arenas… and Epic BGs for the people in this thread.
The interviewers had a limited amount of time, they could only ask a limited amount of questions, and, so - naturally - they chose to address general PVP topics, things most likely to affect the overall future of WoW PVP moving into TWW.
Be that as it may, that’s not a reason for people to dump on the interview they did! This whole thread is full of people complaining about how “It wasn’t good enough.” No thanks. No gratitude. No appreciation.
Frankly, I find the behaviour disgusting.
You don’t say?
I agree. My gripe isn’t with the dev or the interviewers. It’s with the community response.
“Wah - they didn’t ask/answer every single question we have!”
Calm down, lol. No need to have an aneurysm over internet forum posts.
If there’s a next time, would it be possible for you (or Venruki) to create a thread in the bg forum so we can submit some questions?
You would be a fool to expect answers about any of those. Best you would get is “you know, we actually have been discussing this a lot internally but we’re just not ready to share anything about it yet”.
They clearly intended this interview to be about the new battleground.
Yeah a PvP dev is the same as a guy wearing a red shirt in Star Trek. His career is gonna get hung around his neck. That’s what they do. Fodder for under the bus.
Yet people still fight for “pros” like Venruki to represent the pvp community… what a pathetic sad joke
