It really is bad; everyone knows this. It’s beyond unbalanced. It’s not PvP, honestly. There is so much burst that you die within seconds, and there is way way way too much CC in this game that you can’t do anything in battlegrounds. CC/Interrupts etc just last far too long it makes PvP not PvP, when you die within seconds, that’s not PvP either, is this Call of Duty or something? Just don’t get the concept of getting all this gear, etc and you just die, like in 2 seconds. This isn’t a shooter game or anything like that, so that needs to be fixed. Blizzard should have known this, even back in 2004.
Not sure why and how this is a hard fix for them. It should be very easy for them to properly separate damages, crits, mana, CC, interrupts, gear, and whatever it may be to keep PvP separate from PvE when it comes to the majority of spells and abilities. Shouldn’t need resilience or a damage/healing reduction in BGs either. Just separate the 2 from each other. So for example, in world PvP, if someone is farming and someone attacks them the damage, the ccs, etc they do to NPCs are different than the damage, etc vs the player in that scenario.
Keep whatever damage, healing, crits, interrupts, cc, abilities, and spells that they are normally at when it comes to PvE.
When it comes to PvP, just pretty much reduce all spells, abilities, CC, etc between 30% to 60%. Another example here would be if a spell, any spell from whatever class would hit for 2000 damage on an NPC, it would be different on a player like 700 to 1000 damage difference, so that gives the player to respond to actually properly PvP like it should be and not just die to like 2 or 3 spells or even 1, I’ve seen people get 1 shotted. This is WoW, you should be dying super quick, not be able to respond when getting CCed/interrupted/etc. I am not asking for it to be like rental WoW but it should be better than what it is now.
Another example is if I pop out of stealth on someone but as soon as someone else CCs me, I die within seconds unless that useless 5-minute cooldown PvP trinket is up. Even if I get CCed, I shouldn’t be dying like nothing, I should be able to respond and play for an additional time frame. If you want to add a damage reduction to players in BGs when they get CCed etc then I would be 100% cool with that. So, if I get hammered of justice by a pally, it reduces the damage I take by 30 to 60% until the stun is off. That includes interrupts, fears, etc.
Arena’s would be a great addition for a smaller-scale fight between players.
