Sure.
Grind it out like everyone else. You’ll take some Ls but that’s just how it rolls. I’ve burned Conquest before. It never feels great, but you just keep going with what you got. You can make up for the mistake eventually.

If you don’t need it, then take it out.
Assuming equal skill, a team with bg gear will lose to a team in conquest gear. It’s 2025 my dude, competitive games usually level the playing field in terms of how much damage and health people have. Wow’s still stuck in 2004. This is why pvp is dead. The game hasn’t evolved enough.
Mostly true.
I don’t quite understand the issue here. It takes only minutes to check out the best player of each spec. The majority of players could min/max all they want and it wouldn’t change their rating.
Beyond that, why not just take the time to learn your spec and what stats are best before investing in gear? The harsh reality is if you can’t be bothered to know what stats or pieces benefit you the most, you’re not playing at a level that the gear matters anyways.
Learn your spec! Then buy gear.
What a condescending cringe ego you have there. Assuming equal skill… at ANY rating… the people geared with conquest have a distinct advantage. Not sure how hard this is to understand.
If you can’t be bothered to take 5 minutes to figure out what stats matter to your spec, I’m not sure what to say. There isn’t any ego there. Just read your talents. It’s just reality. How can you even begin to know how to play your class/spec if you don’t even know what stats are best?
People like progression! Inquest should come from rated games
You literally didn’t read what I said.
Apparently not. Or else people would play pvp.
How about progression like any other competitive game does these days???
You literally don’t understand the point of the thread. This isn’t about a conquest gear advantage.
You haven’t been paying attention because these have been responses to “gear disparity doesn’t exist”.
Try reading. Hope this helps.
Blizzard has enough problems… no need to add another thing they are going to mess up to pvp.
I responded to the OP. Not you. You chimed in for w/e reason and then came back with some non-sensical response.
Then I wasn’t talking to you. Try context clues kid
There’s also the issue of not being able to switch specs. I can’t gear for MW and BM at the same time, conquest cap. You can’t switch to a spec that’s been buffed or leave a spec that’s been nerfed due to the stats on the gear.
I agree people should be smarter or persevere through mistakes, but I wouldn’t hold this opinion so strongly when we’re talking about a video game. A pvp ilvl cap makes it so you can keep spending and earning conquest to either undo mistakes or switch specs.
You quoted me, troll.
It’s honestly as simple as pulling up the leaderboards and copying the top person for your class/spec.
That’s like a minute or two investment that you need to do for every 6 month season.
True. However I don’t believe the punishment for not doing so is necessary. I think what I suggested has more pros overall than the current system in place.
The conquest cap system has been in place so long that I feel it’s no longer about how easy it is to avoid mistakes. I have to consider the sheer numbers of people who have made mistakes and will in the future, if I knew I was the only one who had a problem, then I’d accept your point of view. The collective amount of days weeks or longer people have put off pvp or the game all together due to the issue I mentioned is probably more time than it would take to implement a pvp ilvl cap.
Note, spec swapping is a valid pro to a pvp ilvl cap instead of conquest.
