[PvP] How do we feel so far? Be honest

From my opinion, it feels awful.
-FV hits less than an DoT tick from templar strikes… its a finisher

Blizzard saw a bug that was benefiting us (radiant glory extending) fixed/nerfed it the next day.
Other bugs existing like Divine toll not working properly. Still in the game.

and to sound like a child… Every other class got cool class fantasy abilities for PvP, we got our most important one (aura of reckoning) removed and replaced with being able to see stealthies WHILE BUBBLED.

If this isnt blatantly them saying we dont like your community or class i dont know what else would get the point across.

Im upset because I have spent over 10 years maining this class and when I get on I want to be able to enjoy it, have fun, escape the real world but after 2 lobbies of SS I just log off because how seemingly unfair it feels. If my abilities arnt hitting like a truck which is about 3% of the time then it just feels like im hitting raid bosses. I want the fantasy back, i want what I fell in love with the class to begin with back.

not even a full week into the new season and I already want to hang the towel up, I dont even want to reroll because the other classes dont appeal to me. Genuinely sad at how it feels right now.

and they don’t care, I just got out of a shufle, because the class is simply horrible, it’s frustrating not being able to do any damage, and seeing the other classes jump, push, run, oneshot people with a single shot, it’s terrible the class was left in the oyo in pvp, it’s really disgusting it can’t stand the damage we’re still with a lock in gcd and not being able to use the shields in time we die, we don’t have any damage mitigation Blizzard is disgusting, do something, I don’t feel like playing anymore either, I came back to see how the class was and they left it worse and all the other classes were super buff and fun except the paladin retry, honestly Blizzard, if you hate our class so much, it would be better if you disappear from the game, we are tired of their hate against us

I wish the people who use retry would write and make noise because it’s enough, the class is complete disgust

It has no haste, it has no damage, it has no survival, it has no damage mitigation, it has no mobility, it has no disarm resistance, it has no fear resistance or slowdowns like all the other classes, the mastery is nerfed, the versatility that “gave” it a pittance of survival is nerfed, the healing is insufficient at a very high mana cost, what the hell is Blizzard wrong with you?

03/11 reset update
Paladin
Retribution
Blade of Justice damage increased by 25% in PvP combat.
Final Verdict damage increase 10% in PvP combat.
Judgment damage increase by 20% in PvP combat.
Expurgation damage increase by 40% in PvP combat.

These changes are from next Tuesday I suppose, even so it is insufficient for everything that lacks substance, increasing the damage is not enough, it requires another thorough and conscientious review because honestly it continues to be a mockery and a meme with that increase that barely puts it in a playable position.

Generally speaking I’m fine with ret as a pvp spec. Great team utility, does damage well enough.

What I really don’t like these days with pvp is the absurd amount of crowd control. Slows, roots, snares, fears, stuns etc. But I suppose that affects everyone. It’s just not fun when it feels like you can’t play your character.

Slows, roots, fears, and other CC affects specs with instant or nearly instant mobility or both very little. Especially specs that can use their mobility while slowed and rooted etcetera.

I’d like less cc but would really like if they removed the pvp modifier from our divine protection.

Don’t see any justification as to why it has to be reduced by 50% in pvp. That or reduce the pvp modifiers on WOG since it now has a mana requirement.

Yeah, the actual wall function of Divine Protection sucks.

But I like the increased healing received from pressing it and the interaction with Eye for an Eye. It’s a little bit of extra help.

You have done zero arena this week. You have no say in how the spec feels.

Ret feels like trash, every match getting outdamaged by all specs. Ww, mm, fury, arms, aff all of them kill you through your “walls”. Doubling our damage

Fv doing on average 380k damage, hammer of light doing 1.6-2M damage fully buffed (same and worse numbers than season 1 roflmao) on 10M health pools.

Those buffs are nothing. Season is trash soon as I get my goals Im quitting this trash

The spec hasnt scaled up at all. As I said the moment s1 launched, the spec will need buffs every patch because it was already on the stat dr for mastery and versatility(haste and crit remain useless in pvp) leading to only gaining small amounts of damage through strenght. Nice rework you got there blizzard, every df pat h after the nerfs required aura buffs and now we are into s2 and we will require buffs every patch yet again.

Even at max ilev with or without tier gear Ret was weak and bugged on PTR, but here we are. 10% buff on FV is what? 35k more average damage per use. Should have been a 100% buff minimum, not 10%. Then it could still be doing half of Obliterate damage.

The funniest thing is, even with Obliterate being quite robust, Frost DK is considered not so good.

I do like the eye for an eye they added to the ability, very creative and I abuse a lot out of it. Just wish I was able to absorb a little more damage, without needing a pocket healer.

I grabbed the pvp talent that adds magic effects to it. The reflect damage doesn’t look like much on the tooltips but it does add up with everything else. Worth it in my opinion.

Same. I’m missing the high versatility I had in DF. Hopefully better once we’re in full conquest.

This just seems like a lot of delusional bs to me  I love my ret even if I feel like it’s not perfect but what class is? I wish divine protection was 20% again, I wish our off heals were stronger or WoG at least healed more ect. But to say this…

Paladin is literally loved by Blizzard and if we’re bad we’re not bad for long so chill lol.

There’s something about ret players that makes for great victim complexes. Some people just aren’t happy unless we’re in a 10.0.7 state.

I know right? It blows my mind lol

Before wrath ret was a joke. So this is historically not accurate as past devs made paladins bad on purpose due to the hate they carried over from eq.

Omg yes the spec was loved so much that until its rework , phrases like “lolret” existed and were uttered in all forms of content.

Outted yourself as a df reroller, or someone just dumb

I know him, because he is me

Uh oh, more angry Christtel responses. Whatever will I do? She can’t handle the FACTs! :joy:
