I hope the brawl counts as rated play for the chest as well. And vaults going away is blessed.
I dont think itll count towards vault cap while its still being tested would be nice tho
Would no joke improve PvP partcipation
Nobody can pick up WOW and tell if they like PvP until max level because of how horrible the lvling BG experience is
I feel like this is the most casual friendly xpac we have had in a long time for pvpers.
Agreed, but it’s still sadistic to either make you play 5-6 hrs of rbg’s queue times included or 12-15 RSS’s with 1 hr queues accounting for 50/50 3+ wins , quitters, and that becomes 72-90 3’s matches a week…
You know this is ammorpg just stop. You just said it. Why write everything else. Gearing now is not the problem we got what we wanted. Gearing by PVPING, PVP gear being the best for PVP and the normalizes honor and conquest high ends available for everyone from 0to 3k rating meaning equal playing field. This is the best pvp system because it uses previous good ideas all in one expansion. How can people say with a straight face they want ove gear and tri kets in pvp? Just fullstop. Only thing Id want is to have pure pvp tier sets but the 50% nerf is kinds enough to make pve tier sets work in pvp
Legions pvp system did exactly this. PvP templates put everyone on the same ilvl from the start with ilvl on the gear you had giving up to a 10% stat template advantage for your spec over others that had no gear at all. This advantage really meant nothing overall.
- Before pvp “got ruined”, as you say, pvp gearing was harder than it is now. So something is wrong in your inference chain
- Pvp gearing is currently the easiest it has been in the history of the game. At the start of a new season you can be fully caught up in several hours
Excluding legion, where you did not have to gear at all. Aside from that this is correct.
Honor talents.
Also templates had you behind with no ilev.
Yeah but legion had a huge honor level grind but yes you could just jump into pvp
you were behind by 10%, which was really a joke, i had plenty of no geared characters doing well without it. This was the smallest thing in comparison to any other gearing in the game before or since.
you were behind by 10%, which was really a joke
Can’t have been that big, but that’s roughly equivalent to the current gap between honor and conquest gear, no?
Not including tier.
Not how that works with templates, the 10% was a slight increase to the hard locked pvp templates in place, so the stats you actually gained were extremely low. Honor gear vs conquest gear is actually a big upgrade in power.
The main downside to the legion template system was that you had no influence over the secondary stats whatsoever, so if you wanted to try something like more haste or more mastery that just wasn’t something that you could do.
But this system created a very predictable outcome in damage incoming, as opposed to some wild burst outcomes that exist in the game currently. It also slowed down the game to a pace that may be a bit too slow creating a dampening type of game which can be boring.
technically you were at a disadvantage until you did grind some ilvl, which would’ve taken more effort than currently in DF.
False, in legion you did not have to grind period for gear whatsoever, fresh alts wearing the blues you gained from leveling was enough. The single and only gate was artifact weapons, which halfway thru the expac was practically given to you in full. This small advantage from having farmed gear was so small that it truely did not stop you from grinding against high rated players and doing on par damage with them.
Legion I remember striking a fresh max lvl toon with 1.8 million hp into bgs and rogues had 7million. Blood DK with CD’s had 18m.
The templates felt amazing for lower level BG’s, but end game i sat out just like last 2 xpacs.
Their artifact level was behind an entire year of grinding playing every day and constantly gave you more stamina and more uptime on 25% primary stat proc. Legion probably had the worst gear/artifact power discrepancy ever and started this entire mess.
Get us back to just capping conquest each week and 1 source of gear: vendors. Not 5 sources I have to get a ph.D in research for.
Get us back to just capping conquest each week and 1 source of gear: vendors. Not 5 sources I have to get a ph.D in research for.
i think this is what they are going to do in WW. since the vault is going away, and we gonna get more conq per week, makes sense the vendors will the main source of pvp gear
I want everything that was done on Legion washed away for good.
ATM if I can summarize it you have to have prior seasone xperience to know what to do.
- Save trophies of strife, grind wpvp objectives get weapon first with Bloody tokens
- Hit up RSS/RBG’s for a GRUELLING 5k honor a week
- Pick up dailies AND do PvE content for craftables reagents
- I wouldn’t have known about it til i hit it but 1600 rated freepiece?
I just can’t believe that system has been gone for 7 years and no. 1 reason why I had to sit out 3 xpacs of PvP unable to no-life. And no-lifers calling ‘casual’ players just wanting free-stuff. I’m already 7 years tired of it hope they deliver conquest only and no wpvp or even crafting.
eh it’s not that bad…i mean you can skip wpvp entirely, and the gear associated with it.
if u really want it, all you gotta do is WQs with WM On. takes what, 30 mins a week at most? Flying around doing quests gettin treasures. it’s…fine. wouldn’t call it a grind.
the 5k honor a week is going away, no more farming vault. but if u do rated pvp, that is of no consequence. you get it simply by playing.
you can also skip the crafting. I mean you prolly want the 2 free pieces in the first week, but aside from those, vendor gear is good enough if u don’t care about min maxing 200 stat points or whatever.
it really ain’t that bad.
