Hey all
I want to get into PVP (I have been doing just about 100% m+ since 9.1.5 when I returned). Am I better off fully upgrading honor gear and PVPing in that or doing in my PVE gear (around 240-244 total ilvl).
Also, what would be your best suggestion for efficiently gearing? I have a friend who is down to do rated with me. I’m thinking that to get some conquest?

Don’t use honor for anything besides the base honor gear. Save it for conquest gear upgrades. What you’re really looking for is haste/versatility pieces. It’s not worth the enormous cost to upgrade the gear to be baseline with beginning conquest gear.
Rated 2s is the fastest way to get gear if you have a friend that’ll play with you. Ideally you wanna play with a healer, but really anything can work at lower ratings. You’ll get plenty of conquest just playing games. At 1050 rating you’ll be able to start upgrading the conquest gear.
Everyone approaches gearing differently in terms of priority. Some people grab rings/neck first for the big stat boosts. I personally start with my weapons, then go to the big pieces (head, shoulders, legs.)
Like he said don’t waste honor save it for upgrades. Go in PvE gear, I personally get the bigger pieces every time a season re starts due to higher stats.
yea like they said don’t waste honor on honor gear. Just suck it up with what you have and grab a 230 vers ring / necklace and start gemming / enchanting vers while you build up conquest and get conq gear. You can get enough for a full set just doing daily wins in all the different bgs/skirms/brawls plus the weekly quest. Even just doing that you’ll have a full set of 233 base conq gear in 7-10 days and then you can start to upgrade at 1k rating which is super easy to get.

I am going to step in and say this week is the perfect week for farming honor gear. Queue the Comp Stomp brawl and you will be showered in honor.
Personally, I originally upgraded every honor piece to max while I was working on conquest gear. I did not have a stable queuing partner to farm conquest.
Awesome I will do just that. Also, when it comes to covenants: I ran night fae for the longest time but recently switched to necrolord. Would you say there’s a significant benefit to running necrolord in arenas/rbgs?
I would prefer night fae for battlegrounds but necrolord for 2s and 3s. Check out this guide, it will explain quite a bit and it is worth the read!

Where are you guys getting these numbers from?!!? it’s EXHAUSTING seeing people misrepresent the truth. FULL set of 233?!? in 7-10 days?!? this is insanely wrong.
Last week’s brawl, Comp Stomp, was/is the best way to farm honor. You can easily upgrade 1 piece every 45 minutes.
All these tips were so helpful. The insight, tips, everything. I think having a friend that was willing to learn helped speed up the process and the comp stomp was a jooooooke. Such an easy way to get honor. Now i’m just where i’m at because I’m not an expert at my class (albeit i’m trying to learn)
