PvP gear vs pve

PvP ilvl should be your highest possible item level in PvP, based on the items in your bags. It doesn’t mean that is the item level of what you currently have equipped.

That said, I don’t know why it would come to the conclusion of 637 if you have full conquest gear. That’s most likely a minor bug.

Oh, I thought the PVP field was to indicate that exclusively, because it does show a poor 597 (the big purple number) when I equip it, but the correct 639 down in the small letters. So it means the PVP ilvl won’t show directly on the big number like the PVE ilvl?

But yeah, if I doesn’t fully show the 639 unless I have it actually equipped.

That’s my understanding of it at least, taking off pieces doesn’t seem to affect my PvP ilvl. It could be something else but I believe it will always show PvE equipped ilvl in the item level field, with maximum PvE ilvl and maximum PvP ilvl (but not equipped PvP ilvl) in the mouseover.

In an arena or bg it’ll give your pvp ilvl on the character window. Outside of pvp instances it’ll show pve ilvl and highest in your bags.

Does anyone have an add-on to actually show the PVP stats on gear without needing to be engaged in PVP combat? It makes it hard to compare gear when the only stats it compares are the PVE ones (the PVE ilvl of PVP gear can be all over the place)

Nah bud. I’d go into world PvP and engage in combat, take a pic of ur stats.

Then go to instanced PvP. Same stats.

You’re wrong.
