PvP gear is too high

yes, sorry for not clarifying, that’s what I meant by “casual WM”
it doesn’t activate until a potential pvp encounter is what I poorly tried to say.

yes. its sounds like they are mad that in pvp situations, pvp gear is higher ilvl than pve gear… this person is stuck in the VERY distant past… before resilience even. they mentioned “classic”… they can go play classic if they like pvp in that version.

OP, players like you ruin pvp for me back in2013 - 14 when Blizzard nerf resilience gear. All of the pve players were crying because they didn’t want two sets of gear to do both pve and pvp.
I lost alot of my friends because of players like you and i haven’t forgave Blizzard either. I am still PO about it.

ilvl isnt everything, yes pvp is higher ilvl, but its also itemized to perform great in pvp specifically, which means it has stats that are pretty garbage for pve

PvP gearing is extremely easy.

Blizz is living in 2004 still. The BG’s are even the same! Many people won’t even play PVP because of the huge disadvantage if your team is not fully geared. The matching system grabs the pre-made team and then grabs whatever undergeared scrubs are due for for an a@@-woopin’.
#1: There should be no difference in gear levels between players in PVP. It’s bad enough some teams are pre-made and on a chat connection. Every player should level to 639 (currently) as soon as they enter the BG. That at least brings it down to only skill and teamwork.
#2: They need to reduce the CC’s down to a manageable level. It’s out of friggin’ control with the Rogues, Frost Mages and Moonkins. Unless you are ranged and can stay out of the middle, you are basically CC’d until you are dead. Having your keyboard frozen for 10-15 seconds while a hunter blows all his rapid fires on you is not fun. It does not entice new people to play PVP.

If new players get wrecked every time they try to play PVP, the queues will just get longer and longer and the games will continue to be lackluster.

Its so easy to get cheap crafted greens and farm rated arena for conq. You can fully gear out in a few hours. Usually when I’m bored or want to farm transmogs I will slap crafted stuff on an alt and go to town late season getting the rewards.

I feel like PvP Gearing should remain - but only in unranked PvP.
Ranked PvP should be a level playing field.

Fully agreed. The game uses CC Diminishing Returns, but it has way too many categories for it. It should be condensed so your time spent stunned consistently goes down instead of you spending way too long not playing because the other team had a couple different types of CC being used.

This is it. I dont undrstand why such system is let flourish, I mean, it is very frustrating, if not because of competition, I would have been out.

There should be no separate gearing system. Players should be able to progress however they please and play whatever content they please without having to have specific gear for the type of content.
