It’s funny watching an alts HP literally more than double the moment any PvP happens
Sounds to me like you tried to gank an “under geared” player in WPVP but was in for a surprise and got your butt whooped.
World PVP happened.
But it was my paladin
He goes from 7.6m to 15.6m when PvP happens
Sounds to me like you didn’t bother reading.
Yeah the on the fly scaling does feel wonky.
I wish they’d just have it so it was always scaled to PvP ilvl if you have Warmode toggled on. It used to work like that back when they first started doing the scaling up PvP gear stuff, but they changed it for some reason. Seems like that would be easier on the servers too, PvP toggled on PvP stats kick in, instead of this constantly fluctuating back and forth depending on if you’re hitting a mob or a player.
They really need to just have the PvP ilvl remain active at all times while in any kind of PvP setting. Yes, including war mode. It’s a bit goofy that you’ll just drop back to your base stats while actively open to PvP.
Absolutely
Pvp already has the disadvantage doing world content with its much lower ilvl on base, so like it’d just help people doing their world quests as theyre looking for some fights
BlizZard is afraid of devaluing PVE gearing for world content is all I have as to why you have crazy scaling up and down happening in world PVP scenarios.
That is the compromise they have settled on to not devalue PVE gearing system which is a hot mess to be honest anyways.
That reasoning always rang hollow to me.
Do PvE lads really care that much that PvPers would be on par with them for world quests!? Does anyone really care about daily quests that much?
I could see that argument being valid if it scaled up in dungeons or raids, sure that makes sense, but for world quests? Who cares
Like sure conquest gear is max myth ilvl while in pvp but how many people are gunna be entirely decked out in that vs just getting the gear itself?
Doesn’t really make much of a difference on the pve front cuz not like they’re gunna be questing with warmode on usually anyway
