It’s hard to choose Fire or Arcane in pvp for this reason. Frost has two ice blocks, constant slows, and the ridiculously good pvp talent Snowdrift. Fire gets 1 ice block and loses 15% health for existing.
I don’t like snowdrift, totally contradictory of a mage should do > avoid melee range.
Glass cannon got buffed.
it was nerfed heavily, not buffed.
- Fire
- Ignite damage increased by 20% in PvP combat.
- Fireball damage increased by 30% (was 12%) in PvP combat.
- Scorch damage increased by 100% (was 45%) in PvP combat.
- Glass Cannon (PvP talent) now increases the damage of Ignite, Fireball, and Scorch by 40% (was 100%) and decreases maximum health by 15% (was 20%).
I agree with you, this was definitely a nerf. I think with the nerf to it like this they could have removed the max health component completely… It doesn’t make sense to have a talent called ‘glass cannon’ that only brings you on par with everyone elses damage lol.
It’s obviously a huge nerf to the talent, if one considers that all fire mages will benefit from the damage buffs to our fire spells in PvP.
If the reasoning is that all fire mages take this talent, then one really has to ask, why add the nerf to our health if this talent is essential to fire mage viability?
More potato logic from Blizz.
lmao
It also does the least dmg, arcane has temporal heal and fire has cauterize. if anything frost dmg should be buffed to be on par with arcane and fire
I don’t know if I agree with you on this. Frost has better damage and survivability. Ray of Frost, Frost Bomb and Glacial Spikes are hitting much, much harder.
The temporal heal is 60% in pvp and usually gets instantly purged.
