Why wouldn’t you coordinate with your team in a shooter? You can also solo queue in DotA and League, which are very team centric games themselves. There is just no reason not to let players queue up for whatever rated PvP mode solo or as a pair. The easier it is to participate, the more people will participate. More people = better queue times and experience
