PvP Exploit: Toy "Shrinking"

Noticed there’s a slowly-building group of players on both sides that are using a [seesaw] and/or [shrinkah] Toy(s) just before PvP matches that involve flag-capturing, like Arathi Basin, and are using the shrinking effects to make themselves much harder to target, see, or anticipate. Threw hands with an Alliance mage exploiting this and we lost zones due to being unable to target or see them for how tiny they had made themselves, as well as stacking AoEs on top of the points so it would be more difficult to spot. All they had to do was blink, get into the bushes, go invisible, run off, hide in an open spot and attack again.

I have to admit it’s clever, but it’s also considered an exploit. Food buffs are one thing, but Toy effects are another. Just figured I may want to spread the word so you can expect this coming from stealthies as well, even Hunters with feign death.

Turn on health bars?

Nobody tell OP about the ghost toys from shadowlands.

This isn’t an exploit. You are allowed to use consumables and toys in unrated battlegrounds.

As annoying as some might find it, anyone can do it and it will be disallowed when blizzard decides it is unfair in some way. I would suggest turning on enemy healthbars and names, and using the addon Battlegroundsenemies, then you can click on the name of any enemy not stealthed to see there location.

You make it very obvious that you do not use Battleground Enemies. Seesaws are allowed in unrated content.

Noggin Fogger is fun to use. Your characters either shrink or turn into a skeleton. I would also use a transformation toy on a pet to create an exact copy of my character for fun, with players often targeting it rather than my character. There are macros, PVP add-ons and the tab key to counter this problem.

Complaining about the see-saw toy? Now that’s a first.

Yea ive seen this but the health bar and whatnot goes unchanged. Its just silly and slightly explotive to those not tab targeting or forgetting to look to click on the healthbar.

Its really pretty funny though, Ive had my share of seesaw and it didnt feel like an edge. Just made me more social, laugh some, and snack a bit

This has been around literally since vanilla and is in no way an exploit.

A player’s model size shouldn’t be an impediment to any competent player’s capacity to see them, because nameplates exist, as do things like BGE addon.

Wait do people actually target players in PvP by clicking their character?

My guy, do yourself a favor, open up your settings to interface > nameplates, go ahead and check on “always show nameplates” and then interface>names “larger nameplates”, check that one too. Then you won’t even notice if they have a smaller toon than normal, you are targeting nameplates.

Bro stop. This information is what separates the casuals from the super elite casuals. You have set us up for a dark time line, mage.

the what now

There are a few things you mix with this toy and depending on the quality of people’s monitors you are nearly impossible to see. Especially to people who don’t increase the size of their nameplates.

noggen + seasaw + SoA + secret toy = tiny dot size ninja flag capper/Base defender

Ahh, legit camo to someone who has no nameplates lol

Bro. I am embarrassed for you right now.

This why they never should’ve ruined low level pvp. People need to build up to it learn from trial and error as they level.
