Hello! I’m in the process of returning to the game and have noticed top disc roll with either haste or mastery primarily.
What do you roll with and why?

From what I’ve seen, it’s haste for PvE and Mastery for PvP.

Totally Mastery, you want the maximum effect of your radiance healing, shields and atonement while casting penance.
You wont be casting smite so haste is not the best option.
Unless you’re talking about pvp, you will be casting smite all the time as practically your most used ability if you’re voidweaver…
I feel like this is really an oracle/void split more than anything. Void wants haste for lower mind blast CD–>more rifts–>more casts during rift while Oracle needs stronger mastery to provide stronger healing over all since it doesn’t get godmode levels of healing every mind blast.
It just happens Oracle tends to be pvp and Void tends to be pve a lot of the time.
I go haste. I’ve done full mastery and the glacial pace of the GCD was too much. This game is fast, I need all the help I can get.

The advantage of running a Voidweaver favoring Haste is that you can also use that set if you want to play as Shadow.
However in Arenas, Oracle still beats VW Disc by a huge margin. VW probably fares better on Battlegrounds, but I didn’t test it a lot myself.
