Pvp developers

Holinka, Chris Kaleiki, among others.

What does your normal work day consist of at the offices at Blizzard? I can only assume you are on salary so i guess a 9-5 is out of the picture.

There have been exactly 1 change in over 419 days for PVP. Are you guys just not really in the office much? Working on SL? Classic? Anything? For a dev team on salary it seems there is little done, so i wanted to ask what fills your day at the office.

Thanks for reading.

It’s probably more of a work from their smart phone kinda job.

I tried to see when was the last time Holinka, the head pvp dev posted but its been nearly 2 years. Chris Kaleiki has never posted on the official forums. So i tried twitter. Holinka just retweets MMO champ and blizz posts and Chris tweets the same. They never engage with players, they almost seem like bot accounts.

Perhaps they transferred to Quality Control???

Thats not what it says on their official twitter pages.

Hes not part of the pvp team he left a couple years ago I think. and the sit around and drink coffee and buff and nerf classes sometimes and generally mess stuff up

He is 100% back on the pvp dev team and tweeted this a while back.

Hes 100% lead combat designer now little more than pvp there

I guess he has changed his title, agan, to a generic “Game designer”

Chris Kaleikis twitter is laughable and might aswell be a private page.

they have meetings a lot of them. then they have meetings about meetings. then they have more meetings to discuss meetings about meetings.

There aren’t any developers, the corporate suits took an online course and have been winging it since Ghostcrawler left.

TBH i dont think youre far off. I honestly think they have these changes set to drop at a specific date months ago. They just auto pilot it unless there is something they consider game breaking.

Holongo came back only recently but even if he’s a “pvp dev”, they probably have him working on SL related stuff and gave up on Bfa.

The other guy has done almost nothing in these years though, even if class changes are decided by Ion and his Diablo 3 crew, a “pvp dev” can still implement pvp especific tuning, which makes me wonder how that guy still has that job.

Where is Oatmeal to help us summon Hulungo when you need him?

Nah pvp staff is working on merging wow with the Nintendo switch.

No pvp work allowed…
