reduced healing? this is strictly a buff to alliance because we dont have healers xDDD

Honestly i feel the same, there is a reason controls are used in experiments and considering this is essentially what that is it is sabotage to add multiple variables.
If it does work, what worked? The reduced heal? The reduced physical damage? The reduced magic damage? Or combination of multiple and to which degree?

Seems incremental changes of a single variable would he much more sensible.
1- Reduce damage reduction as a whole, ok better but healers are too strong
2- Reduce healing in PvP, ok right direction but casters are still overperforming
3- Remove universal reduction in favour of specific damage type reductions
Etc.

Honestly the changes just feel like a massive buff to Rogue and Hunter at a glance. Although maybe the split damage they do with Envenom and Chimera Shot might tone that back a bit.

It’s probably too small of a damage nerf tbh.

It’s pretty easy…Buff stam on PvP gear. Buff food/water. Add runes that buff classes in areas of weakness. Add more runes overall so players have to choose between PvE and PvP runes on slots. Instead of just giving some classes pure PvP runes and others not.

The issue is that most of the player base are PvEers. They cry that their class is not good enough in PvE. So they get buffs that inadvertently buff them in PvP as well. The PvEers play on PvP servers and don’t want to farm PvP gear then cry when they get destroyed. Because they don’t PvP often they don’t know how to deal with a high damage meta.

So instead of tweaking classes and gear they just make a flat damage reduction that makes the game boaring. The PvEers still lose in PvP, but because it happens at a slower pace they feel better about themselves. The PvP minority is unhappy but who cares about them.

They need 30% magic reduction because casters are OP? No, Void plague, Starfire crits and Chimera Shot crits are OP. Starfire and Chimera shot don’t have a 100% crit chance so they are not always OP not a huge deal there. And Starfire needs to be cast so it’s easier to avoid. Void Plague is OP but instead of just reducing it’s damage and adding it to Mind Spike or Mind Blast they decided that a 30% magic damage reduction was the play. You could argue that Lava burst is also OP but you need to get up flame shock first which only has a 24 yard range and lava burst has a 30 yard range so it is pretty easy to move out of range of an ele sham.

So you gotta reduce caster damage and then allow warriors to have a 60% MS so they can feel good about themselves? Instead of just giving them Spell Reflect and Heroic Throw with gag order?

Also as many have stated none of these changes address the issues that mana users are having. Casters do big dam because they have a limited resource. Once they go oom they can do very little. It is pretty lame to be a caster, set up your burst, and then do no burst… Only to run oom before you can kill your enemy.

There is no arguing against the fact these changes are lazy and make the game less fun. I have had plenty of longer engaging fights without the DR in the game. Which should be impossible with the way everyone cries about how op damage is. But the majority of players are PvEers and just aren’t very good at PvP. Stop slowing the game down to benefit the BUMS.

Well that was a lie, I guess.

I am excited to see how these work out, Definitely a good foot forward and on track to fixing the pvp issues that have been problematic in SOD.

AS long as horde has shamans none of the changes matter at all. The morale on alli is a complete joke just like the pvp in sod.

Got 2 shotted earlier by a ele shaman. Where was the dmg mitigation?

2 shotted by a Shaman and you’re a hunter? Don’t you have like 7k HP with HOTL in BGs?

Will there be a visible debuff or do players simply have to guesstimate when 10 seconds is up to heal and not waste mana?

Yeah I’m done with all these changes. They didn’t even give the last reduction a chance. Odds are they will do it and then give damage a 2x increase on reset.

Every change loses players. You lost me when you put the 50% damage in and took it out in 4 days. NOW you are trying something else. Not playing to find out. I’ve even vendored all my max exalted and r7 enchanted PVP gear and given away 2K in gold. Just wrapping up a little more gold from ah to give away. It was nice to think I might get to R14. But I can’t stand to play a broken game that changes weekly to get a pixel title.

So for Spriest, who heals based off the damage they do, does the healing nerf affect that as well? 30% damage received as healing lowered to about 17%?

Do you guys realise i dont pay monthly fee to be a test subject? can you do in a ptr, ask people to test there and gg? No? Seems like a horrendous idea then.
You guys clearly have no idea what to do, then why even touch it? Ya it is a bursty pvp, soo? All you did was buff warriors and rogues that are still gonan do a ton of dmg, nothing else. Might aswell increase stamina tenfold would ironically be better.

And basically nerfed some hybrids now, even the ones that werent strong like ferals and rets with the 20% red healing, 20% reduced physicla and 30% magic on ret.

all of that for what? ther eisnt organized pvp in sod, nobody is gonna spam bgs to farm rep and once AV hits everyone is jsut gonna spam this for honor, you kknow the bg with less pvp avaiable lol.

If by clue you mean people that keybaord turn, use S key constantly and have glacial reaciton time, sure.
The change literally doesnt help classes that were in disavantages, nerfed healers that actually needed the heal to not die for example

SoD devs are just throwing whatever now, they are clearly unexperienced with the game they develop, if they play it im sorry to say they are the gray parse king in pve and the dude that cry about getting ganked in a pvp server.

It has more way stamina than the pve gear, like its not even a question lol.

There is no skill in MMORPG pvp, period.
The cocnept of mmo is getting stronger and smashing more, not getting weaker progessively or being super fair because jhonny is bad. If you want balanced pvp go play a moba, you just gonna get frustrated in mmos.

ya plus the healing debuff.
so you dot do 100 now heals 30
Its gonna do 70 dmg and heals 21? nop gonna heal ~17. due 20% extra healing debuff
You get 24% nerf in healing.

If blizzard legit just buffed healing 10% in pvp and scalled a bit less the spell damage/healing from paliies and shaman rune this change would have been thousand times better lol.
