With Blizzard reconsidering how pvp gear is itemized, and how the current weekly chest works (being tied to raids, mythics and arena), would it be possible to detach the arena/pvp weekly chest for the raid/mythics?
I would hate to choose between a pve item and a pvp one every week if I want to play both (pvp and pve) in Shadowlands.
It’s currently like that in BFA, so hopefully we can keep the two items per week.
If things really go well they add a PVP stat and you never have to worry about this issue ever again and only have to rely on vendors like whats supposed to happen.
But it would be another source of a high level pvp item. If pve Can get their upgraded Ilvl gear from keys, we should too for pvp. Right?
They should have given micro-boxes (play X number of matches with the same people to get a box equivalent to your rating, sort of like end of dungeon chest) to shore up the deficiency in loot volume between pve and pvp.
Get rid of all the random drops in PVP, I don’t want more useless gear that is always a downgrade. I don’t want crates of fish or flowers.
Give me honor and conquest and WOD vendors
Ehh I have got like 3 items that I actually used from either of those chests since their inception.
Stop looking at them as a Main gearing path, they are a nice bonus some times nothing more.
In that facet, they are fine as they are. I would rather have 9 chances to get something usable, then get Garbage.
What they might be good for, is for PVE players to build a PvP set, or vice versa.
Then all the people complaining about barrier to entry in content they don’t actually want to do, can gear up without spending too much time.
That leaves PVP gearing free to better cater to people who primarily do PVP.

You dont get PVP options, without doing PVP.
You have to do alot of PVP to get those options.
They scale off rating so unless your 2400, odds are the PVE pieces will be better anyway.
People who do a lot will be rewarded properly.
People who want to gear up for PvP without doing PVP can do a tiny bit to have a PvP chest option.
I don’t want our entire PVP gearing to cater to PVE only players like the last 4 years.
Isn’t it only one item? Did we get PvP items out of our chest? I don’t remember using any of them for PvP. Lol

Lol it was more a joke on how bad PvP gearing is. I think I used one azerite item for an offspec… Not a single other item from my PvP chest.
Ah! Yeah! Haha I hear you. After the last post blizz made about pvp gear, I’m hopeful they will add some sort of pvp stat.
I would actually be just fine with no weekly chest and no random gear drops (unless PVE players want some welfare PVP gear so they don’t have to PVP for their warmode world quests…)
The vendors in WoD were so good, please just bring those back. the gear had a good array of stat options and PVP gear was boosted in PVP. So simple, and yet so very good.
