Sir. Please. Stop. You don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m being genuine when I say this, I will teach you if you ask, but at this point, you’re making yourself look ridiculous. Diminishing Returns are weird, and sometimes they don’t make sense, but there is a math / science behind it.
Yeah I never said that lol.
Oh please. stop will the nonsense and go back to your singluar Arena experience where you never manage to get stunlocked because you have a trinket.
I’ll concede that for your 3s Arena, where it’s been balanced for, sure, you are probably right.
In a Battleground where you have 10 or more opponents each with a CC, none of that math / science matters.
You can stunlock a single player nearly indefinately. That’s the way the game works outside of the small Arena experiences.
Sir, this is the problem. Listen, I will explain it to you. If you’re trolling me, well played. If you’re not, please read this and try to understand it for what it is.
It is impossible for someone to be stun locked indefinitely. Impossible. I promise you, it is impossible. Diminishing returns exist for a reason. All stuns are crowd control, but not all crowd control is stuns.
For example, if you are kidney shot for 5, cheaped for 1.5, and then cheaped again for .6 seconds, you are now immune to stuns. Immune. That’s it. Until the DR is up, you are immune. However, if you are dragon’s breathed, you will be disoriented for full. A disorient is not a stun. But some disorients can act like stuns when utilized a certain way by people who know how to use them properly.
It is impossible, and I mean it when I say it, for what you are describing to happen to you. Is it possible that you could say, be kidney’d, and then feared, and then DR blinded, and then DR cheaped, and then repped? Yes. All of that is possible. But only kidney shot, and cheap shot in that equation are stuns. Blind and fear are disorients. Rep is an incap.
I do this all the time to troll people. My buddy and I will each take turns polymornphing and then mind controlling a player. We can do that for as long as we want. There are no diminishing returns on perform these two abilities repeatedly. The player affected by this CC is unable to do anything about it until we decided that we no longer want to CC them.
This is the way CC has always worked in WoW.
The problem here is that you misunderstand what it means to be stunlocked. Probably because it has the word “stun” in it.
Poly=incapacitate
Mind control=Disorient
Neither of those are stuns
???
LOL
The GcD change and no real thought in to counter play anymore is why.
Maybe actually get your gear caught up.
You’re dying in a stun because you’re below 200 ilvl.
Its why I hate wow pvp and avoid it like the plague. Screw the out of control CC.
Stun have always been out of control, Burst happens after you get stunned
As the healer I’m simply watching other players go from full to < 10% health. It has nothing to do with being stunned.
Exactly.
there has to be stuns in the chain. polying and mcing arent stuns
in that case you say you got cc chained
The problem is the typically the classes with high burst have it because outside of that they are no threat to anyone.
They are not stuns.
A interrupt/silence is practically a stun to me cause it reduces me to like almost nothing.
you’re welcome to go ask an aff lock to stunlock a healer and see what he replies

A interrupt/silence is practically a stun to me cause it reduces me to like almost nothing.
An interrupt can be Juked though. In fact, between a stun, interrupt and silence, the interrupt is most threatening but also has the highest capability of being countered.
In wow, each crowd control is very specific with very specific rules.
