For all i know tons of people think im boosted, but i just have a family member that has tons of high xp as warrior… lol. You’d think i would play all the time, but we seem to hit a wall at 1850ish1900ish in 3v3 and it gets so infuriating that we cannot seem to get 1950 which id get the achievement for. Actually been taking a break from arena and wow… I just feel like if your not constantly on wow and in the loop of watching streamers, looking up strats/builds, ontop of that even paying for 3rd party things like coaching/boost or something like skillcap. The time and effort sink on a new class just to hit 2100 these days is not worth it. Try pitching that to a completely new player interested in pvp its no wonder the pool feels more try hardy and small every new season.
Clicked on a random stream today and saw someone getting boosted and thought of this thread lol. The streamers chat wasn’t even aware it was happening either. They just thought it was a good old fashioned 3’s queue sesh ![]()
So are you just totally unaware of how much you love being a victim?
They’re just pixels in a game bro
No one’s looking at a guy on a glad mount and going “gee willikers, look at them they’re so cool”
yeah they are.
Yeah, but it’s a game about collecting cool pixels.
Of course they are.
It’s a glad mount. DF ones in particular go kind of hard.
Holy capitalism, Batman! This is an INSANELY fried take.
This is so insanely wrong it’s actually hilarious. SO many people play pvp specifically because they like the feeling of improving and getting good and winning. Also, while I’m far from “pro-boosting”, the boostee still needs to play the game correctly or they’ll lose.
I do agree with this though. Meta way too slow to punish mistakes reliably.
This is correlation, not causation. There is always ALWAYS a similar proportional decline between the start and end of an expac, ESPECIALLY with competing gamemodes like release of cata & time-limited MOP timerunning.
This is a SUPER popular time for boosting, because it’s close to season end, but not SO close that people need to Q it up. It’s big for R1 pushers specifically because there’s the dual purpose of grinding your 150 wins while also helping people get glad & getting gold for it.
I’ve seen a few R1 players also literally just throw up an LFG and play with whoever to try and get wins, although most do network for them.
Short season, Cata, alpha/beta, timerunning, ff14 expac. ![]()
I’ll be honest only mount that’s turned my head is the DF S1 drake. Only thing that’s given me slight regret that i didn’t at least try to see how close I could get to obtaining it, especially since S1 was so inflated and demo was relatively busted
What am I coping with? What frauds you people are?
If you’re not top ranked, you’re not good. End of story
Might have to jump into 3s and see how it is. I did 3 shuffles last night and got yelled at every game for going 2-4, 3-3, and I got yelled at the most for going 6-0 for some reason. I’d rather deal with an occasional booster or glad alt in 3s than the nonstop healer harassment in shuffle (enjoy your longer queues DPS)
Edit: so if anyone wants to play 3s with me and my pet hamster Clarence on arms war gimme a shout. I promise I’ll only flame shock your breakable cc a couple of times, and I will put spirit link no less than 15 yards away from you
Why have I never been harassed in shuffle this expansion
I feel like I catch most of it when a DPS is keeps flopping and it isn’t apparent that they are going 0-6 yet. You also probably arent slumming it in the rat leagues where I belong ![]()
i swear the number goes up every time someone says this
It is a very dumb take. The amount of people being boosted to glad isn’t very high, nor is the number of accounts at 2400 that got glad. Oddly enough more boosting is likely happening to 1800 then anything else, mostly because it’s so easy to do and the cost is low.
However, exploitive account behavior has an outsized impact on the ladder relative to the end result of boosted glads.
Hmmm. I feel like shuffle heavily cut into this audience.
I think are a correct about that as well. I do not think boosting is a bigger issue in DF then in SL, I think it’s gotten a good deal better.
SL was insane man, I’d legit bookmark dozens of people and went back to see them all lose their mounts later. ![]()
